My favourite ITC series. RB gave a great naturalistic performance as the wronged, downtrodden ex-CIA agent.

Richard was actually a good actor, indeed a lot of good actors back in the 60's when we only had three channels and the talent wasn't so diluted. My grandmother always watched Dangerman because of Patrick McGoohan. My own earliest crushes were Diana Rigg in The Avengers and Alexandra Bastedo in The Champions.

This series was unique in that the initial episode that explained the basis for the character was aired much later in the season, leaving viewers with the painful task of trying to piece it all together for themselves. This was the first episode aired, chosen because it was thought to be stronger than the pilot... an unfortunate miscalculation for an otherwise flawless series.

A great series from the highly productive ITC stable. This opening ep was intriguing and showed great promise for the rest of the series.

The fights were realistic as they looked bruised afterwards. Another show worth repeating as it hasn't been repeated since the mid 80s.

Outside shots seemed to be fimed outside too and all the series in colour looks like when there was three channels there was not many slots for repeats.

A couple years later Richard Bradford did a tv movie pilot called "UMC" that became the TV series "Medical Center". They recast him with Chad Everett for the series. He never got to play good guys again always playing the villain in tv shows or movies.

From I can see of the railway station all the ornamental swan neck station lights have gone . The grounds have left to overgrow to save money 🤑 if you said anything to council down their they would simply say it's good for the squirrels

No,its called Denham Golf Platform,its existed since 1912 and in spite of the catastrophic Beeching cuts of the late '60s its survived!Built to serve the local golf club,as the name would suggest.And a mere stones throw from Pinewood studios.

@@MrNellie65 Denham golf club station is considerably more than a stone's throw from Pinewood studios, actually about four and a half miles...that's some stone's throw. I'm at the station right now, it's surrounded by mature trees and overgrown shrubbery compared to this scene, 53years of Nature's progress. Still, I get your point. One of my favorite ITC series. I was five years old when this was made. I have the series on DVD and it's still better than anything shown on TV nowadays. RIP Richard Bradford.

Does anyone know the make of car in this clip ? Could it be an Alvis, a Bristol, a Daimler, or even a Lagonda ? It looks to be a rare coach built 50's Saloon, probably a one off.

@kevinmanns7170
@kevinmanns7170 4 жыл бұрын
@@airport4173 I've done some research (Google) since my original post. The car is a later coach built Vanden Plas Princess with an Austin 4 litre straight six. Seemingly ugly at first glance, I've grown accustomed to its rather sinister styling, which is perfect for this scene. The engine and ride of these cars are smooth as silk. They were a cut price alternative to Rolls Royce and Daimler limousines at the time, and make superb wedding cars.
