I watched this video because I was half-awake and thought it was something else. And I watched it to the end. I am a 68 year old woman and for the first time I understand a) why so many young men say they would rather stay single and b) why I find so many young women annoying and 3) why I am so incredibly happy that I was born into a different world. I have been married for 47 years and through thick and thin we have been partners. He's worked and I didn't, I worked and he didn't, we both worked, we both didn't work. We have travelled the world, sat at each other's bedside in the hospital and because we each look at the world differently, I have doubled my wisdom just by knowing him. He makes me laugh at least once a day, and I work hard to get that special smile-laugh from him when I say something funny. I am going to share this video with him later - and I can't wait.

I finished high school and went to University in the 1970s, when feminism was not a dirty word but an exciting call to freedom. Obviously, not everyone felt that way - but the young women who were my friends all felt that what it meant was that we could be and do whatever we dreamed of, and that marriage and children were only one of many options. That had not been possible for our mothers - and they were the loudest voices encouraging us to see the world or become a lawyer or go into politics. In that environment, my friends would never have dreamed of baring their chest and asking an older man to kiss or slap us, or say publicly that men who made less that $200,000 a year were losers. We respected ourselves too much in those years, because it seemed as if there was so much at stake. And the men we were attracted to saw us at partners and were excited at our achievements, just as we were with theirs. Some of us had children, some of us didn't but all of us felt that those who had kids were better mothers because they had seen the world and participated in it. I know this isn't a popular opinion in 2024's "manosphere" but it's the truth. Or at least my truth and the truth of the amazing women and men who were my friends..

Thank God for my wife. In the 1990s, I was laid off and ended up making much less than her. She didn't leave me or shame me. She carried 75% of our financial load. 8 years later, I got my original job back. We're blessed to be in the top 15% of household earners. She was, and is, a true partner. Botox and fillers are completely different things. Botox when used by younger women properly can prevent certain wrinkles that would come on later. I would have started it younger if it had been around but I love what it does for me now at 72. And it's not for anyone but me
