​@@franny5295 seek knowledge ? seek the truth and the truth shall find you ? you have internet ? mosques around you can go ask the imams and sheiks ? the time of prophets is over, islam is complete , there is no nation left that didnt receive the message of islam save for remote islands or hidden tribes that live without technology, as far as i know in the west they pretty much know islam yet they chose to believe the media lies and say its bad and oppressive and terrorist etc. so dont wait for a sheikh to knock on your door, you can find knowledge from speakers corner, dawah people, masjids, internet authentic website and islamic sites etc. chaste is not just not being " touched " , its what stops men from touching you or lusting over you in the first place, wearing revealing cloths mixing then saying " oh men flirt with men look me up and down and i just refuse them and no one ever dared to touch me " , this is not the point, you dont wait for the man to control his urges , you do it yourself and control your ego of showing off beauty and skin to only your husband and family members blood relatives ( not cousins, or sibling in law ). chaste women are covered, avoids mixing with men , if you cant avoid the mixing like buying stuff or working for a need etc then covering up and not responding etc etc, dont give them a reason, and your husband being deceased, doesn't factor in this situation, you're a widow then, for 6 years, you can if you want to re-marry, its not chaste to say " no one touched me for 6 years " , no one SHOULD touch you period , married or not married, widow or not a widow, thats why i agree with the sister above, you dont understand the true meaning of chastity , western women think wearing revealing cloths make-up etc is being chaste as long as they dont sleep around while doing it, happy for you good job, but why the glamour though ? just self appreciation or to get compliments ? or advertisement for a handsome rich guy to approach to try and hook up and HOPE you can convince him you're marriage material ( until said woman cheats and takes half his wealth and ruin his life , emotional damage trauma taking the kids and all that known drama ). men are weak to women, no matter what, and in the west, women have all the power, they can go from stone broke to millionaires in an instant, if they get the right man to con , or sell their bodies and do onlyfans . btw, im NOT pointing at you at all, you're not a bad person, but im just saying how things are in the west, and telling you what chaste means and that not being touched is not enough to be a chaste person, you got to protect yourself from the pre-requisite to being touched or hit on or assaulted, dont be eye candy is what im saying, and that doesn't mean to be an eyesore , just a regular human walking by covered respectful and for her family and husband not for strangers because at the end of the day we all know women are beautiful, and that beauty is intensified when its only for your family husband loved ones, and you're obeying Allah s.w.t our creator , this gives the sweet taste in a woman's heart, that she is not an object , but a human , short temporary life in this world, with a body and needs and tests, but eternal life in the hereafter with Allah s.w.t in jannah or hell and then jannah .

The look the Sheikh gave at the end and mentioned may Allah make it easy says it all to be honest. Basically choose a pious Muslim InshAllah you will have no issue though both are permissible because Allah says so, I think if she is capable of converting to Islam it makes sense, I personally won't bother with someone who has a personality of a stubborn hard stain because there will be nothing but arguments.

Why would you marry a disbeliever in the first place??? I know Allah made it permissible but isn’t marrying a righteous muslim woman better? Edit: A lot of people are misunderstanding me, I acknowledge and know that Allah made it permissible, all I’m saying that it’s better to just marry a Muslim woman for many reasons 1: it’s almost impossible to find a woman who’s a non Muslim and chaste, and if there’s one like an orthodox jewish woman, her family would most likely no let you marry their daughter because why would they let you, a Muslim man to marry her? 2: marrying a non Muslim would sometimes or most of the times cause the children to be confused or even worse, follow the path of disbelief because the mother has a huge influence on the children, since she’s literally the one who takes care of them

No 😊 fiqhi issues doesn't actually part the ummah. What does part is usually issues related to aqeedah (for example by metaphorically interpreting what's clear in the Quran and Sunnah) or politics

One of the main reasons for disunity is condemning the scholars. Because once you put them all in a basket, the Quran and sunnah is up to the laymen to interpret.
