My arrangement of Man of La Mancha is "by ear" meaning without a written score (Believe it or not the famous guitarist and arranger Tommy Emanuel cannot read music). For La Mancha, I do have the sheet music, but in a key which must be transposed to match your father's requested score to my arrangement. Guitar arrangements are typically in the key of A, E, D, or C, not the B_flat in hand. In trying to accommodate your request, I ordered and installed "Forte Notation 12" a German software which enables scanning and then transposing sheet music. My first experience with it was almost complete failure. The scan correctly showed the interpreted score, but suffered from excess font size for the words obscuring the music. I then removed the words and obtained a successful scan, but then attempted without success to transpose the score by several notes to match the key of my arrangement. Since you are German (your English is very good!) and the software product is German, I suspect customer support will be best if you were to contact Forte and request assistance based on a PDF file which I can provide to you. If you would like to pursue that, I can send you a PDF file which consists of screen shots of the original score, successes and failures of the scanned score, and failure to transpose the score. Until these problems are fixed, I cannot provide what your father and another music lover have requested.
