It's rare that I find a song that speaks to my soul the way that I would speak to myself. It's honest and pulls no punches. I keep coming back to this band because there is just so much to chew on lyrically, instrumentally, and spiritually. Thanks for sharing your journey.

One of my favorite bands period. Met the guys at a local (to me) show and they are just genuine brothers in the Lord and put on a fantastic live show. These two songs are awesome, just like the rest of their discography. Definitely two of my favorites. You should definitely check out the few new songs they put out recently. Stop The Bleeding and Shadows off their upcoming album, as well as their advent focused song Lowborn (honestly my favorite of the 3, so I bought that single right away since it is not on the album). Still thinking about the questions, haha. May stop back and update with the answers to those.

Yes, Christ died and paid my debt for me. I subsequently owe God my obedience to His will and I owe him praise and exaltation for the work that He did for me. Christ's work on the cross was sufficient, but I am still a sinner; the process of sanctification is a life-long process and I will not be perfected until I am in the presence of God in Heaven. Christ's work on the cross was sufficient to pay the debt of all sin - past, present, and future. It did not pay the debt of sin that I owed up to the point of salvation and then it's on me to be perfect, because that will never happen as salvation does not remove our sin nature. The cross continues to be sufficient for every sin that I continue to commit in my fallibility.

"The Sea In Between" is a wonderfully produced track. Everything I like about hard music, especially "dramatic tension". Things to explore later: 1) More Red. People really seemed to enjoy the last ones "If I Break" and "A.I.". While there are some wonderfully haunting tracks like "Hymn For the Missing" and "Of These Chains" they're not exactly rock or metal. I think we might enjoy listening to "Sever" a more straight forward rock track and "Float" because I thin @Leonardo Torres Music will like the chorus. Red - "Float" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4LWgpeleJ51l68 Red - "Sever" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnyWpod6mbOrj7s 2) Switching gears to a "new" artist, Lacey Strum-- she previously of Flyleaf (which we have heard) Lacey Strum - "Your Not Alone" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGKZl6ucaaaihrs Lacey Sturn - "Rot" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nne2lqZ8j7mBaaM 3) Continuing our journey into the stories left us by Falling Up. Thank You for your reaction to this song that came my way to share. I hit Ouse @ 1 Peter 5:7 yes it has a finish to the storyline The Sea in Between. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.@David Wellman thanks be to you for sharing the list months ago of such joyful Metal artist with me. 1 Jesus paid the debt to all who believe He the Son of God and was raised up to Heaven three days from tomb after crucifixion on the cross. 2 All of my life belongs to him, I would not be here if His presence had not intervened this human that was dead in self. 3 sun occurred yet turning away from sun is front and center. The testimony I have is different from most and is also one of similarity to some. I intend to live a sober life.PERIOD 4 Finished. He has made the way for each to be redeemed to eternity

1. Yes, He paid my debt! 2. I’m going to respond to your second question with a question.. If someone gave up their life to save yours and ask for nearly nothing in return, wouldn’t you still want to give them everything?! 3. Yes, I sin daily. 4. It is finished because God created a bridge for us. Even through we are sinners he found a way for us to be with him for eternity. All you have to do is confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved! When he said “It is finished” and took His final breath, that was Him saying He fulfilled what He came to earth to do. He took on the sins of the world so that we may spend eternity with Him instead of going to Hell like we deserve. The wages(what we deserve) of sin is death but the gift (Jesus giving up his life for us) of God is eternal life! Our walk with God is never “finished”, it’s an ever-changing and hopefully ever-growing relationship!

I too grew up Catholic and spent my life in fear He was going to strike me dead for the many things I've done. After I met Him and had a very radical conversion , I no longer see myself as a sinner. He sees us through Jesus and does not see our sin any longer , all because of His son's work on the cross , on our behalf. He died for it all. Now, in the renewing of my mind He shows me where are short comings are, when I am triggered to react or act out. It's my job to sit and ask Him for the truth . In turn He tells me truth and that breastplate is able to come down over that place & that behaviour stops. Then we no longer do performance based Christianity, (no effort is needed )and we can really know victory by being renewed by the transformation of our mind. Peace & Grace to you brother. He sees us as at the end not at our beginning , if we could then grow up into that and be who He already sees....wow

1. Yes, I believe Jesus died to pay my debt. 2. I don't owe anything for my sin but I owe God everything. That's a tough one. 3.My spirit is not a sinner but my flesh still has desires. I do not consider myself to be a sinner because I was washed in the Blood of Jesus. 4. It is finished.

1. Yes. Christ’s death paid my debt. 2. I owe nothing, but the indwelling spirit of God guides me to do works that glorify Him. Not to _earn_ His grace, but as an outpouring _of_ His grace. 3. This is one Christians get wrong all the time. If you are a believer and follower of Christ, you are _not_ a sinner. You are a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” You will sin because you’ll never be perfect in your flesh, but sinning doesn’t make you a sinner any more than cooking makes you a chef. 😉
