Man on the Moon changed my mind about Andy Kaufman. I was a little kid living in Memphis when he was doing his Jerry Lawler stuff. I didn't care about wrestling but he was big news there. I remember watching the news with my grandparents and he was going on and on calling everyone in Memphis stupid, it really affects you in your formative years, so I hated him for a long time. I didn't even watch this movie until probably 7 or 8 years after it came out. A friend really liked it and I had nothing else to do and I warmed up to him and finally got it. Good review.

35:27 "Maybe Jerry Lawler was in on it..." very interesting theory. Definitely check out Lawler's podcast "Dinner With The King", as well as his guest appearance on Stone Cold Steve Austin's podcast. He rips right into Carrey for basically being a constant jerk to everyone on set just for shits and giggles, versus how Andy did his antics without being mean spirited onto those close by. Seems they made peace after all was said and done, as close to Jim And Andy being released, Carrey sent Lawler a lovely letter of appreciation, along with a stack of vinyl records full of wrestling themed music (though whether that was a troll move can be up for debate).
