foolio you put the hat on, try getting a slightly smaller size. Then once hat is on your head. Grab the tip of the bill right in the center and pull away from your head. This and wearing the hat will give it that natural curve

The reason the guy in the red cap looks great is his long hair contrasts well with the width/boxiness of these kind of hats. Also, the crown is widest when it is by his ears, rather than billowing at the top

1: Stickers off 2: Thumbs under the bill where the smallest row of stitches meet the sweatband and bend it a bit either side(stops any rooftop breakage) 3: Pull corners of bill together and roll back and forth a little bit Curve comes out mint every time.

For some reason, every hat I get from LIDS has some imperfection in the stitching that makes the hat look crooked. Kinda sucks. I’ve noticed the Dodger hats I buy at the stadium always have the perfect fit on the first fitting. I dunno what it is 🤷🏻‍♂️

they don't always fit perfectly, there are sizing variations, like for me some 7 5/8's hats are sometimes too small, sometimes too big, depends on the hat sometimes.

I prefer the brim flat, then I have full vision and I don't need to break it in only stetch if it's slightly small to get the perfect fit.

I used to not do anything with mine and just keep it pretty much how I purchased it, soo just flat lol... Maybe because back in the days the flatter the brim was, the "better" it supposedly looked. Now though... I wear it a little low (just above my eyebrows) and bend/adjust the brim ever so slightly. Enough to basically suit my face shape. I like wearing mainly vintage/retro snapbacks, but own some new era snapbacks/fitteds aswell.

For me, I would find a cap that would be a little tight on my head. Afterwards, I bend the brim just a little bit. If it doesn't fit, then I bend a little more until it's comfy on my head.

I get my hats just a little bit small and wear it nonstop until I can't anymore so it curves to fit my head then I curve it a little more. Then I wear it for a few days so it can stretch out. In the event that it doesn't I make 2 vertical slits in the sweatband toward the back of the hat. Usually fits like a glove after that.

Why the hell do new era caps have to be so big now? Five years ago, you could buy them perfectly sized. Now, you gotta wait a year until you can wear them normally. They only come in two sizes; too big or two small.

Nop, unfortunately thats true. Thats why I skipped to snapbacks, because I am tired of the weird sizes of the new fitted caps. The size I used to wear is now too big and one size below is too small. Also have the feeling that the crown is much bigger now :/

Go to a store like lids, and try on hats untill you find your size. Thats what i do. Works great

They are hand made every hat fits different. I buy one that fit a little tight then steam it and stretch it to fit my head the way I like. I also steam the mesh on the crownand shape it to fit the top of my head.

Flat brims, stickers on unless they fall off or look tacky, and hornets hats for days! Among other teams cool caps.I keep the curved brims slightly curved and flat brims flat.

The brim is completely flat new. However it remains flat only if your head is perfectly round (seen from the top). Since most of us have oval heads, curving the brim gives a better fit. 😊

I love my yNew Era hats but in the last 5-10 years they have been really inconsistent. I bought an all red Yankees and a all black Dodgers at the same time. I wore the Yankee hat twice as much as the Dodger hat but the LAD cap looked like it was 15 years old and the NYY cap looks brand new a year later.

I'm old school and never have been a fan of the flat bill. It's gotta be curved. The bills on the newer AC MLB caps are usually pretty hard so if you want to curve the bill you have to slowly start to shape it or it will crack down the middle. When I get a new cap I wear it for a few days and start to loosen up the bill whenever I get a chance. Once it starts to soften up and it will curve without breaking I get the bill wet then start to work on the shape of the curve to get it just how I want it. Once it's wet it bends really good. I use warm water. If I really want to get a good curve I'll use a big cup as a mold and lay the bill on it and secure it with a rubber band. It has to be wet and the rubber band shouldn't be very tight. Let it set for a couple days and dry and it comes out perfect. (I actually have some XL soda cups I got at a Rockies game that makes a perfect mold.) The newer pro models are 100% polyester so they won't shrink when they get wet like the old wool ones

Big fan of 59fifty (I own like 10 of them) but the size and shape of the hats are so inconsistent. The best 59fifty I have if the one that has made in Vietnam tag, right size, soft fabric/sweatband, non boxy crown and easy to shape brim. I'm kinda scare to buy another 59fifty because it's difficult to return in where I live.

Blow dry the mesh part of the hat when it's good and hot form it to your head repeat as necessary
