That information about the canal horses is rather sad. It's always fascinating to find out about little 'fixes' to things, like the metal straps on the bridge. The photography and artistry has continually struck me because it is beautiful and creative. Gents - I have to comment, I've meant to a number of times. I just want to say, I have absolutely no involvement or real interest in taking to the canals (frankly I'm terrified of locks/waterfalls/tunnels!!) and honestly our lives seem very different, I'm not entirely sure how I even stumbled across your channel - but somehow I've found real joy following your videos, and catching up on old ones over the last few weeks. Something very refreshing about the calming yet entertaining way you produce these. Top quality post production too. Credit where due. Something about the pair of you as well, seem like such a great pair of blokes - I hope I bump into you at some point on the canals of Mancunian/NW!

Loving the whole Peak Forest Canal vlogs, where I grew up and worked. Worked as a planner at High Peak Council when the Bugsworth arm was restored and was a planner at Tameside MBC when Portland Basin was rebuilt. Glad you liked the museum and flats above because when I started at Ashton the warehouse building was a burned out wreck. It was a hell of a battle to get a building that reasonably resembled the original one whilst making it suitable for modern living. Depending on which way you turn you'll either travel through another huge planning project, the reinstatement of the canal through Stalybridge, or the equally troublesome Droylsden Marina project. Can't wait for the next instalment.

I agree with Christine, every Friday is story time for adults! Have you ever had an overnight guest(s) on the boat? If yes, any "lessons learned" that you can share? Thanks for another great vlog!!

Laurel and Hardy, Tom and Dicky Smothers, Burns and Allen, Rowan and Martin of Laugh In. And now (drum roll) Colin and Shaun take their place among the great comedy teams! BTW, Dan Rowan bought a Narrow boat and spent his retirement years doing what you gents are doing, without the camera! You bet your bippy!
