They saw a black bear and put honey on their 1year-old’s head to get a photo of the bear licking it off their son’s head. Their son was killed. Honestly, don't care that much. It was far enough away that as soon as the sea lion moved its head uncomfortably the dad grabbed the kid. This is dumb, but not letting your kid fight Harambee dumb. Maybe I'm desensitized to the stupidity and it's just nice to see someone with reaction speed.

I feel like i live in a world where if somone presents something in a negative light everyone jumps on board ...this wasnt that bad i remember being 16 high on meth holding on to a fully aired tire and rim riding on the back of my dads bike...he didnt care if i fell off with my arms inside the rim while barely able to hold on after being strung out...this dad was like hey son would you like a pic with the sealion (YEAH!!) So he tries..then an indicator (the sealion) shows that if persues further down this path it wont play out that well so he listens to his gut and picked his kid back up ...actin like every parents perfect i guarentee ever one commenting negatively who has kids messed up way worse but the difference was this dads intentions where positive if that sealion was interested in spending a moment together with these souls it would have played out different the news would have been talking about how cute the sealion was when the boy was sat on the rock and how the seallion took a waddle back and bowed and how everyone on the news team where making jokes how he's now king of the sealions..point is the sea lion wasnt in the mood and the dude respected it...end of story

I fish in the harbor nearly every weekend off a float tube and sea lions brush past my legs all day. I used to be scared of them, but theyre just like big dogs-- curious yet friendly. I assume most of the people in the comments, along with lawmakers, dont have any experience with them.
