@@anabellegrace Imo, you don't have to justify yourself to out of control people, it never works anyway. As a person who has raise many a litter of puppies, they looked fine and healthy. They are comforted being in a pile close together especially when in an unfamiliar place. It did look a bit on the smaller side but that may have been what they needed. Were they still nursing? Then their water needs aren't the same as weaned pups. Was this a one time thing with the guy not having a handy wicker basket? The list is endless. He would know what his well cared forgot looking pups more than some random karen would. If you have a concern, introduce yourself calmly - a screaming stranger isn't healthy for them at all - and tell him politely about your concern and get the story, if there's even one to tell. You could offer to buy an unopened bottle of water if you must. But then, where are they going to drink it? He most likely didn't have a bowl because puppies are very messy and a bowl of water would not remain a bowl of water - more like wet puppies and wet blankets - not good either. People like her are exactly the kind of people you don't want to expose your pups to, and who does she think she is, the puppy police? He could have been just taking a break from here to there - a box of pups are heavier than they look.

The guy complaining about the $5 tip is wild to me. I’ve worked in food service for a couple years now, and it’s amazing how little people actually tip. I’ve had people walk into the diner I work at dressed in brand name or designer clothes who simply refuse to tip no matter what, or if they do tip it’s just the “keep the change” thing but their change is like six cents. I can count on one hand the number of times someone has tipped me more than $5. If it were me, I’d just be glad she tipped at all, because most people don’t.

for the puppy one, i can understand refusing something from a stranger, bc you dont know what they could have done to that water. for all we know, she could hate puppies and could have purposely poisoned the water. not saying i think she did, just pointing out that you never know. but if that were his reason for refusing it, you'd think he'd be like, "no thanks, i have my own water for them" or "i can get some for them myself, its okay." but again, we dont know the whole situation so who knows, maybe he did say something like that and she just got upset that he wasn't immediately giving it to them. either way, it was wrong of her to shove him regardless of the reason and he's 100% right that if the roles were reversed he'd be getting way worse treatment than she is. and she seems to be taking advantage of that knowledge and trying to pin him as the bad guy. all in all, i think shes the a$$hole in the situation, but she does have a point that he should be taking care of those animals. at the end of the day tho, she could have gone about that much better, and actually have helped those dogs rather than just instigate a fight

BACK UP YOUR PHONES PEOPLE!!! Please, as an electronics repair technician, I am begging you. Yes the guy was in the wrong. When we need to wipe someone's phone, we always always always get their consent/understanding and if it's possible we will do a backup first. But if it isn't possible, like you dropped your phone in a bucket of water and the motherboard is fried...yeah, that stuff is just gone. And it is SO easy to prevent. Just enable your automatic backups. The worst is that certain companies do require us to wipe a customer's device when we check it in, in order to respect their privacy. And people will acknowledge and consent to that. Then come back the next day cuz they restored from a backup and some important piece of data (the incident I'm thinking of, it was screenshots being used as evidence in a court case) didn't get backed up because it wasn't covered in the automatic backup. So they're in our store angry trying to get us to get whatever it was back, and we literally cannot. So don't just back up your phones! If anything is vital, save it SOMEWHERE ELSE IN ADDITION TO THE VERY FRAGILE THING YOU CARRY AROUND IN YOUR POCKET ALL DAY.

Not being from the US, I get why tipping is a big deal. I don't blame the workers there. I blame the system and the employers who exploit the workers with low wages, rather than paying them a livable wage. The tipping "problem" is a solution looking for a problem. One server we knew was putting herself through college working at a pizza/Italian restaurant. She made as much as $500 in six hours on a Friday night. Other nights weren't nearly as good but $100 was normal. That was 10 years ago. The waitress we had today works a few days a week to supplement her full time state job. She makes almost as much serving as at her full-time job. Yes, these are not Wendy's but they're not Michelin rated either. The first was a bar(ish) and good, not expensive, Italian restaurant. The second example is a family sports bar. It's fairly large and on a Sunday morning they have enough business to keep six servers, two or thee kids as runners, and another seating people. IOW, everyone is making money. Tips are an incentive to work hard. Working hard moves people, gets more tips. Employee happy. Owner happy. Customer happy. No problems. If anyone isn't getting paid enough where they are, go elsewhere. If there is no "elsewhere", it just may not be "the system". " Employees are like rockets. They only work when there is fire up their ass." Tips are the fire.

@@kwilliams2239i still don’t think the responsibility of the customer should be making sure the server goes home with enough money to put food on the table and pay rent. i think all that should be the responsibility of the employer and i don’t like the thought of companies being able to cheapskate their way out of paying their employees appropriately because the customer has to take care of the rest. i work at target where i get paid slightly above minimum wage and don’t rely on tips from people shopping. i still have an incentive to work it’s called not wanting to be fired and broke. i am also still required to be nice and provide good service to customers because otherwise i would get fired because of how the company manages their reputation. tipping culture in places like europe doesn’t exist the workers get paid well by the company so people don’t tip. so paying workers less doesn’t need to be a solution.

That's good of them. Here in the US, minimum wage for servers is $2.13 and $7.25 for all other roles, though several states are higher overall minimum wage. If servers don't make their local minimum wage with tips over a shift, employers do have to make up the difference. For context, 2.13 USD is 2.01 EUR or 1.73 GBP. 7.25 USD is 6.83 EUR or 5.89 GBP. What we pay servers is so ridiculously low. I'd rather cost of the items goes up so tipping could be reserved for intense merit and servers got paid a decent wage consistently.

That's valid and even if they weren't malicious. I'm pretty sure we caught covid from someone else offering water to my dogs. I was dealing with depression so I had completely isolated myself and only interacted with my pets and no one else for over a month (no shopping, not going out other than for their daily walks, really no contact with anyone) a stranger saw one of my dogs panting. She pants out of excitement (like most dogs do) she was excited we were passing near the dog park, she was expecting maybe I would take her to the park but I didn't. I know my dogs, she wasn't thirsty or even remotely tired, she's very active and if anything was anxious because she wanted more exercise than what she was getting. A stranger walking out from the park offered me some bottled water for the dogs and I politely refused but they insisted and I really wasn't emotionally able to handle arguing with a stranger on the street that day so I allowed them to drink the water. A few days later one of my dogs had some weird eye infection, and both were vomiting. Like five days after that I'm horribly sick and positive for COVID. Turns out the eye thing my dog got was one of the "new" symptoms for some covid variant. We literally had no other contact with the outside world for a very long time before that. All my pets are indoor animals, I don't even have a yard. Just the walks and even then the virus wouldn't survive long on the pavement and I washed my dogs paws every time we came back. I'm sure we got sick from a stranger's water offered to my dogs in good faith

Having worked in a pizza place, the drivers made the most money out of all the non-management positions. Servers got paid under minimum wage and had to make it up with tips, and if they got just one $5 tip in an hour, they were making above the minimum wage there. The cooks (which was my position) were paid minimum wage and typically didn't get tips. The drivers were making minimum wage or more (due to some of them having been there a while) and also got tips. Servers served customers, bussed tables, and prepped cutlery and the salad bar, and cleaned the dining room. Drivers delivered food and did dishes. Cooks cooked, prepped food, did inventory, cleaned the kitchen, and helped wash dishes and bus tables when able, and would often get harassed by the servers and drivers because they always thought their order should be the higher priority regardless of when the order actually came in. DoorDash/Grubhub/etc are a bit different because those companies do take advantage of their drivers and don't pay them what they should, but if you actually work for the restaurant itself, being a delivery driver is probably the best gig you can have there.

If they were children and the parent said NO to your offer of an open(?) bottle in your hand, how would you react? It is not your place to decide. There are authorities. I was at an agility trial where animal rights people were attempting to 'free' the oppressed dogs. Luckily most dogs were easily called to their owners but one young dog, there for socialization, freaked out and ran outside to be hit by a car and die. Free at last. It’s normal for her because that is her disability. And for the people saying that’s not a disability, M.S. can affect how you walk. The thing with doordash is it tells you how much you're gonna make on the trip so if you choose to take it thats on you. Its why people who dont tip may find their food taking longer because door dash is trying to find them a dasher but everyone is declining their order because they dont want 4 dollars for a 10mile drive. I just don't understand dashers getting upset when they choose to take the order. Its not like a restaurant where you get no choice. When i worked doordash the rule of them is a dollar a mile. Sometimes people did 2 dollars a mile. If the delivery wasnt paying at least that then you just dont take it.

With the puppy video, we do have enough information to draw to any conclusion other than the puppies look well they weren’t visibly malnourished or suffering again “visibly”. Whatever his reason for being there, he has as much right to be there as anyone else, of course unless he has been trespassed, and it doesn’t appear to be the case in the first parts of the video. Folks, meaning the busybodies in that situation, need to stop believing that just because they have a thought 💭 or delusion in their mind does NOT make it then true. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I’m not sure why he wouldn’t just say that, though…? Seems like he could have calmed the situation by just explaining that he’s going to get the puppies water as soon as he gets home or something…? We don't know that he didn't say that before the shoving and escalation. It's highly likely he did say something like that, i.e, "they're fine, and you can mind your own business." But the problem with entitled folks like that Katie is that they don't care what you say, the think they are always in the right. Like the lady who called the police about a woman being in the building she worked at, even though the woman worked in the same building. But because "she didn't look like she belonged" this lady called the police, even after the woman told her she had a right to be there too.

Worth the dogs..... from what I saw, they did not appear to be in distresses. The lady was 100% in the wrong for multiple reasons. 1) attempting to give ANYTHING to someone else's animals without permission. 2) assuming he didn't have a plan or resources available to provide for them himself. 3) not just walking away when told no or at least not just observing for a bit to be sure there was neglect happening. And if there was neglect, then report it. 4) shoving him being way wrong should go without saying.

He was from a delivery app and they canned him when the video went viral. He was apparently an asshole to a few customers. I get wanting a decent tip, those apps rarely pay enough for some of the jobs but he can choose which deliveries he takes, he chose one with a low tip but with what that lady ordered it seems like she tipped based off of the cost of the food order, not including the mass of fees that the app adds on.

@@ZombieMinion1992 That's how, historically, you tip, by the bill *before* taxes. I tip heavy if the service was good, less if it isn't - but at least 15%, no lower. But that's for actual service, bringing food, refilling drinks, that kind of thing. Tipping just for handing you a pizza from a short walk isn't worth more than $5. My door is up a few flights, I tip more for that inconvenience and extra effort. It is not our responsibility to make up for poor wages - we aren't all making bank ourselves! If you don't like the pay, get a different job. If you can't get a better job, deal with it until you either get more educated or hustle harder. The world doesn't owe you anything, you need to earn it. But I'm old school and might not get this new sense of entitlement just for doing your job. Do delivery people get tipped credit? I think not, so...

Conflict of interest isn't about knowing a person, it's if the case you're representing conflicts with another case or client you're representing or have represented. For example, a lawyer can't represent both a husband and a wife in the same divorce case. They would need separate attorneys. Or say you used to work at a different law firm and your client at your new law firm is suing a client from your old law firm. That's a conflict of interest because you know confidential information about the person your client is suing.

You wouldn’t walk up and ask someone to hold their kid and give it food or water just because you don’t see the owner/parent giving it to them. Not seeing it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. That person could’ve been just waiting for someone or could have another person with them in a store. We don’t know anything to judge. My highest take away is that if that were the guy with the puppies doing the slightest bit of what the girl was doing, he would’ve been pinned to the ground the security and arrested immediately by police. The whole thing is bs and uncalled for. Robert is a passerby model tho. That’s how people should act. Katie is unhinged and out of control. She needs to go home and have a nap.
