I've paid for the whole meal in the past when I was the one who suggested the restaurant. my idea, my money. if the waiter had said my husband should have paid for the bill I'd have told her to stay in her lane and that tip would have been 0. Even when hubby paid for the whole meal I never ordered more than I would have had I been the one paying for it. so if all I could afford on my own was a slice of pizza, that's still what I ordered. anything else would be taking advantage of his money.

I prefer eating at home over going out - it's cheaper and more interesting to cook together. You can be as close or distant as you want, and the conversation flows more naturally while cooking. Though I wouldn't recommend cooking for first or second dates - getting coffee or drinks is better for initial meetings. Worked really well for my current boyfriend. Guess that makes me a cheap date!

This is why I’m seriously considering a surrogate mother to have a child or two; as it’s a $50-70K one time deal.
