I love the way this artist actually sculpted the drawing with his pencil. Every section of shading was seen as a plane of the face and sectioned off accordingly. very well trained artist.

It’s my opinion he has deliberately altered the eyes and mouth giving a happier appearance. All the inaccuracies in the drawing are artistic whether deliberate or by accident. I suggest you go back to looking at Tracy Emin if you can’t stand anybody with a superior technique.

This is a well drawn portrait. The proportions, etc. are all about right, so it should be easy enough to recognize this guy, but I think that one of the main elements of his likeness is his very large and very round upper lip, which was not accurately captured. Also, I think the title is a lie: This is probably charcoal, not graphite.

Have you tried looking at your measurements backwards thru a mirror or something else reflective? Seeing the image backwards usually helps your brain catch the skew more easily.
