The problem with people like you are stuck in your bubble and you don’t know what people in other parts of the world go through just to survive .. some people have no other option but to fish in that same river so they can feed their families and that’s where some get water to drink and shower .. when something bad want to happen it can happen anywhere .. people crash their car and die on the road , People get robbed and killed in their bedrooms .. there is no safe place in the World ..

Your military training kicked in did it? The military I was in never trained us to fight hippos. Too many tour guides in Africa are over confident and think they are in control of things right up to the moment when things go pear shaped.
