I'm a senior with a golden who pulls on the leash so much that I'm unable to even take her for walks. I've been watching Teddy Tuesdays for a while and it breaks my heart that my golden doesn't get days of fun. @rustyrussell3211 There is a thin strap, that you can fit around the dogs & it clips behind their head. Every time the dog pulls too hard, whilst walking, you give the strap (connected to the leash) a gently tug & this eventually trains the dog to not pull.

My own dog Bambi has also helped me through incredibly hard times and I always refer to her as a person. I often refer to her as a person because she means so much to me that I genuinely sometimes just feel that she's a human being. My family thinks I'm weird because of it but I don't care.

My rescue dog is similar-he would never hurt anyone. I bought security cameras to protect him. He also had a $10,000 plus surgery 2 weeks ago or he would pass. Had a ruptured gallbladder. Animals are in some ways better than any human. Love them and take care of them and they will give you ten fold in return for the rest of their life.

Gosh - I can really sympathise. A few years ago, I had multiple bereavements and was absolutely clobbered by stress. Having an animal can really help - so it's great to see that this man is dealing with his grief in such a healthy way - getting exercise, going outdoors, completing projects and giving himself plenty of time to relax and recover. Animals can be much more of a comfort than people at times.
