There are many questions that can be asked, and you choose to ask the ones that are in defense of a clearly uncooperative suspect. So they shot the guy. Was it lethal rounds? No. Was it justified? Given that the guy was carrying lethal weapons to begin with, absolutely. You're calling the cops power tripping, but you're clearly missing all the steps they took before they even deployed the tasers and bean-bags. They tried verbal de-escalation, and that failed. They tried giving clear, stern, lawful orders, and that failed too. What would the next logical thing be? @Dragonfire-4862 жыл бұрын
Sadly true. But they’re trained to respond to instinctively know if the guy suddenly had a violent force, and will react accordingly. Their tools they’re using can be put to much more effective use, hence why the beanbags were only aimed at the legs and the taser for short bursts. But yeah, it’s sadly happened before many times when an officer is suddenly put in a deadly situation and doesn’t get out well.
@jleif77362 жыл бұрын
@@Dragonfire-486 Yeah, and if this guy who got arrested was a person of color, and it escalated, and the cops had no choice but to shoot once every bit of less than lethal was useless, these cops would be put on the news for months and months, and then probably have to go on trial, while the public thinks they are racist pigs.
