Well shooting a gun, especially in a high-stress situation can be hard, and not to forget that bullets can bounce/ricochet of metals with would change the bullet trajectory by millimeters and some are also pretty lucky not to have gotten hit, and stuff gets even harder when someone is moving, however, this can be trained to a certain degree, but most Agencys lack funding (wonder why) to provide the officers with the training, and some agencies don't even provide such training.

@@Andersj13 ya, I have no idea what the actual policy is, but it would seem there should be one against it for sure. I'm all for officers defending themselves in these situations, but when the shots have such little chance of doing so, I don't think they should take that risk. It's easy for me to say so though - I'm not in the situation and don't have that instinctive weapons response training ingrained into me for such high tension situations. I suppose we like to think that police have all the time in the world to make perfect calculated decisions as if their lives didn't depend on it, when in reality instinct, self-preservation, and training become reactions in just milliseconds. @@tjen7929 I agree and disagree. You see these cops mag dumping while driving which isn’t necessary. If you can take a few decent steady shots I’ll give benefit of the doubt but when you see them spraying like they were it’s not necessary. Pretty unsafe even if the guy was shooting back. I feel uncomfortable even when they’re shooting with a house as a backdrop , you never know if those bullets will go through the walls and hit someone behind their couch hiding blindly. Scary all around regardless, especially in the direct line of fire like these officers. Just glad no one else was injured for sure.
