‘’How’s your day going?” Russian dude: “Normal” That seems like such a Russian thing to say.
@id15807936
@id15807936 4 жыл бұрын
Well that translate is not accurate, Russian "normalno" is more like "ok" rather than "normal", "normal" would rather be "obichno" and no one says it because it's as weird as saying "normal" in English (I mean in the case when someone is asking "how are you"). But people(especially Russians when they don't know English so good) often translate "normalno" as "normal" because they sound almost the same even though they have not exactly the same meaning. Seems like that's the case when English speaking dude don't know Russian good enough.

@leonne07
@leonne07 4 жыл бұрын
@@id15807936 Yep, that would be correct, but more precise explanation is the following: "Normalno" is like "I'm good" in English, but is literally translated as "normally", due to the utilization of the question in Russian that is " Kak dela" or "How are the things", and not "how are you", like it would be used in English. Hence, that kind of answer - " it's all good".

@ItsQuaezzy Nobody said what they can or can not do, there's nothing to "so." If you felt so inclined to retort a fact stating that they are losing that little piece of heritage, maybe you have an issue with it.
@dingliedangliedoodle9261
@dingliedangliedoodle9261 3 жыл бұрын
@ItsQuaezzy There's nothing bad or good per se, it's just lost history for sentimental reasons. If they don't mind, cool, it's still a lost identity nonetheless. Why are you going on a diatribe talking about the negatives of some cultures as if those are the only traits of culture? Who said you need to take those along if you want to keep your culture? How in the fk did you go from the subject of speaking one's own heritage language to Ludites, homophobia and misogyny? Wtf?! The comment transcribes video of kid unable to speak his own language, I state a fact of that kid losing some of that culture, and you done lost your damn shit over that?!?? Next time we talk about food, you gonna bring up child abuse and homophobia too? How dumb must you be to deal in absolutes, because obviously when we talk about a cultural heritage like language we are automatically in full agreement with homophobia, child abuse, misogyny and all that shit, right? Don't go full retard, kid.
