Looks like a real good reminder for everyone our there 1. Make sure your kills switch lanyard works by testing it often. 2. Make you you wear the kill switch lanyard whenever operating the motor. 3. Wear a life jacket cause if no one is around you and you get thrown and cant make it back to your boat hopefully not running anymore you might drawn. Mad respect for you guys to see you act so quickly to go help a fellow fisherman in need.

Dude I get it, I fish night tournaments here in Georgia and witnessed a crash at night that killed two people, It was horrific and traumatizing. We heard the collision and were the first people on scene, it was graphic as hell and absolutely horrible/devastating to see what exactly happened. It was the equivalent to a t-bone car crash, so the people that got hit on the side never stood a chance because there was literally nothing to protect them, both people literally took the front end of a bass boat to the head and neck area, the driver was not recognizable, I mean he practically didn't have anything left above the shoulder and the passenger wasn't much better off, you could tell instantly his neck was broke. I mean it was so bad that it was nighttime and the water was stained red if that tells you anything.

Tie quick knots in both the legs to keep air from escaping, and blow air in through the waistband and bam you got a floaty. I think the vast majority of people in this country at least are good. I think where people get the interpretation of everyone being terrible is by looking at things through the lens of the internet where people have anonymity and have a place to be a total asshole. Most all of the things you see out of people on the internet don't reflect how they are in real life as a person.

I used to hate my lanyard when fishing due to the shortness. I changed to ski pass holder looking thing with a rectractable wire in it. It's made from thin cable looking stuff which is fairly flexible and around 8 feet long. So far I've pulled the kill switch multiple times since I still do forget that i'm attached to the kill switch when leaving the boat. I do really like it because it doesnt prevent me from moving around my small boat, but still seems to work incase I'd fall off.

I would like to think that any youtuber would set the camera down and go help when this situation happened. To see you be more worried about that gentleman than your filming brought a smile to my face. I think some others would be more worried about getting the good shot than saving that man. God was definitely watching out over all of you and put you in the right place at the right time to help that man. Thank you for recognizing it and being willing to help! Great job!!!!

Y’all are some good men! Thanks for helping that brother🙏🏾 I’ve also had my share of situations on the water and man it means everything when someone comes to the rescue.

No life jacket and no kill switch. Damn good way to meet the deep six.

GoldSniperz320 if he had the kill switch the life jacket wouldn’t of caused an issue

You can still be thrown out of the boat even with the kill switch that's what a kill switch is for. The life jacket it's too keep you afloat if you can't swim or if you are knocked out or injured. Bottom line is when the boat is under power you always hook up your kill switch and have your lifejacket on. Safety devices cannot save your life if you do not use them.

@@justdoingit.43 even if you think you're a good swimmer, try it in shoes, jeans, and a jacket or a hoodie sometime. It will wear you out in a hurry. Just wear your vest.
