Awesome selection from the Monty Python series! Was actually born NE of Edinburgh with parents from UK who eventually emigrated to NY state, now I reside in Southern California. Had a double vinyl album of theirs that had some hilarious skits like "embarrassing noises" and one about a lazy noble marrying off a daughter, and some other gems. It became warped in no time and also lost - tried in vain in the 80's to locate replacement as record or CD. Maybe seems like adolescent humor to some, but there are social and political overtones that stand the test of time IMHO, love it!

There was one record that had three sides! Depending on where you happened to release the needle you would get one or the other. Being of German-Irish descent I've oft wondered the implications of becoming a Scotsperson. I'm well educated and quite healthy, however I question the legal and social backlash of completing the transition. I also have a bit of Cherokee. Does anyone know, or could you direct me as to finding the resolve to my situation? The more research I do the more I come across Scotsmen as being angry with sheep. I don't own sheep, nor do I encounter them in my everyday life, so it doesn't seem to be an issue. If however being with sheep is a prerequisite I would do my best to satisfy whatever might be necessary to engage fully as a "Scotsman". I do like to banter and would plausibly consider a fistfight, if the surroundings presented themselves. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thank you in advance.

True story My ex mother-in-law thought she was Scottish, she'd wear kilts and talk like a Scottish person.. with we this and mucky pup that, and she'd eat Scottish food and she comsumed bucket loads of Scotch But when she eventually ended up it a psychiatric hospital her sister came out to Australia to visit and on seeing her and hearing her asked, "What's the Scotish bit about ?" because they were pommies English Turned out she wasn't Scottish, she was pickled with Scotch she had an organic brain disorder brought on from alcohol abuse 😳

@@RaptorFromWeegee Not wrong, she had no other family here other than her three children who all believed her bullshit until the sister come over, but it turned out they all believed their own lies

Strangely modern. Judging by the numbers of English people on twitter wanting to run off to Scotland and vote for independence.

I'm positive if they took the Monty Python name off of this and ran it on the History Channel here in the USA, a lot of folks would say that this really happened.
