Nonsense, CFG bought Troyes in 2020. Savio was always a CFG signing when he was purchased in 2022. CFG's network of scouts are the reason he ever went to Troyes in the first place. Secondly, Girona wasn't even his first loan move, PSV were. This is a player who has high aspirations, listen to the quotes from the lad himself and it's clear he was sold on CFG managing his career by progressing him in the right way to give him a chance of reaching the very top. Troyes were never really going to see much of him because they are too far down the ladder. So your narrative is very disingenuous(not to mention objectively incorrect in part). The Troyes fans are free to feel how they like about it, since they've been relegated... Bit embarrassing that they actually confirmed it by their own actions though, has to be said. All I will say to that is, the proof is in the pudding for how well CFG tend to manage their clubs. NYCFC, Melbourne City FC, Girona(CFG don't have a majority stake there btw) fans all started out with similar factions of support with similar concerns but ask any of their fans now if they feel in good hands and it will be: 'Yeah, it turned out they knew what they were doing after all'.

Just to Rory's argument about points tallies. As someone in the chat said Blackburn won the league with 89 points in 1995, same tally as City last year. United got 88 points and didn't win the league that same season. In 2012, Fergie's United got 89 points and didn't win the league. United got 92 points the season before Blackburn won it(1994, was a back to back too) and 97 points in 1999/00. Arsenal's last PL win in 04, was a 90 point season, Chelsea(twice, one of those was 95 points) and United also had seasons in the 00s where they got 90 or above points. In the 2010s City, Chelsea and Liverpool all had seasons where they had 90+ points. The point being 90+ points isn't that rare, high 90s is but that hasn't happened that many times. Also 3 different clubs have done it in the PL era or 4 if you count Chelsea's 95 in the same bracket. In truth the fuss is about 3 consecutive seasons where both City and Liverpool did it twice in that time frame. Only one of those seasons did it happen at both clubs simultaneously but why should that be impossible and why is it less competitive that it has happened? Just because it's not the team YOU wanted to win. It's rare you see two teams so good and so closely matched, surely that's more competitive, surely that should be celebrated? Football fans are so petty these days, wanting everything to go the way they want, if not they're making up false narratives to pretend it's more noble/justified than petty/childish sentiments.
