Ten Hag is trying to avoid the negativity in the team but he has to be real. There is no style of play. There is no game plan. There is no strategy. There is no plan B to counter. First of all, he didnt say it. Sepp blatter said "he is a slave to united because they are not letting him leave" and he said that coz after a verbal agreement between the player and the two clubs, the director triggered a fairplay clause because there was no universal pfp rule in europe like it is now. And a clause in the FA directed that if the move isn't signed before preseason begins, the club can trigger a buyback option. This would've collapsed the deal. Ronaldo agreed to this specific criticism that was aimed at the then director of united not the fans or the club. If he actually treated united like that, then upon his return he wouldnt have been welcomed like a king. The only time in history when the announcer read out the home team squad list first and then the real madrid squad just so that he could end with "welcome back number seven" while the crowd started singing his song. It's almost as if it's a crime if a player demands for what he rightfully deserves. Same happened with messi when he left barca everyone said he should play for free. WHy?
