Most of this criticism is aimed at the current situation without thinking about the context of everything that’s happened recruitment wise and financially. I agree that INEOS are implementing unfair measures that affects the fans and the club. HOWEVER, we need to consider why we’re in such a financial rut that necessitates us taking those measures. The glazers and more specifically Ed Woodward prioritized commercial deals over detailed and careful recruitment. This led us to spend unnecessary big amounts that were still paying for 3+ years later. I say we wait to the summer to see what they have planned and then make our judgements after the fact.

Sorry have to disagree that was a release clause. United have a pathetic recruitment process, there’s lots of players available on loan or lower price that you could go for. But unfortunately our club just gets super fixated on certain players and then way overpays on transfer fees and wages. Liverpool rebuilt their whole team Diaz, Gravenberch, Gakpo, McAllister and Szoboszlai for roughly 200mm. We spent 450mm+ on Antony, Casemiro, zirkzee, Hojlund, Ugarte, Mount. Liverpool hit 5/5, we hit maybe 1/6 and spent a lot more money. Mount and Casemiro are the highest paid players among both sets of players and both don’t play. United need a complete reset and they set Amorim up to fail. We were shopping at Walmart but paid Hermes prices. Now we’re asking the manager to turn water into wine and it’s impossible.

Kolo Muani was always going to choose Juventus over Manchester United, according to almost every media outlet-except the English ones (bias). And that’s completely understandable. One club is in the Champions League and consistently in the top half of the table, having lost only once this season. I don’t hate the Premier League, but some fans need to accept that when a team is struggling, its name alone doesn’t make it attractive. When it comes to strikers, United signed one who barely scored over 10 goals and Højlund, who had fewer than 10 in Serie A. The club simply doesn’t attract top talent anymore. While i agree that INEOS should take some of the blame for not going into the winter tranfer market to get at least a striker. We also have to blame Amorim, who now falls into the trap that renders Bruno Fernandez untouchable like the two managers before him. Until Bruno is treated as a normal player himself(not as a untouchable captain) like the others and treated likewise in terms of getting substituted when he's not playing good or tactical reasons, then this club will NEVER move forward. Bruno is allowed to do whatever pleases him every single game and this is the 3rd manager who does nothing about it. Bruno got the other two sacked. Since Bruno was given the captain's armband, the club has accumulated its lowest points tally for those two seasons and this season will be even worse. Ineos since they came in kept talking about building a new stadium and adding facilities around the ground when we are absolutely horrendous on the pitch and they are raising prices and sending messages to fan groups saying that they are broke. Last summer we had our lowest net spend in years. Amorim is stuck with garnacho and amad as his two wingers and both are kids. Garancho is in his second full season and amad is in his first. Also the club somehow decided to throw away 72 mil on hojlund when they could have brought in any other striker for that amount. Hojlund had one okay season in serie an and he wasn’t prolific at all and we were in a bidding war with ourselves.
