We have a bigger issue, and yes its been discussed to death, but there aren't many X Factor players left in football. In 2014, thefe were at least 40 around Europe. Now, theres maybe 15 at most. Even great teams of the past like PSG and Juve don't have a single X Factor player. Only teams in Europe that have an X Factor player or multiple X factor players are: Bayern (2), City (4), Liverpool (1) Madrid (4), Inter (1), Barca (1) Bayer Leverkusen (1), Thats it. Milan, Arsenal, Juve, Man United, Chelsea, PSG, Atletico, all historically great clubs dont have a single x factor player.

The x factor for arsenal is trossard and saka. Many times when arsenal needs a goal, one of them will score it. The champion League is luck based for any team that's not Madrid. City always had those "x factor " players and they only have 1 CL title so far. Arsenal's issue is they're too dependent on saka and odegaard. if one is missing the team can function.

I'd really like to see a detailed video of teams that have the X-factor and the reasons Arsenal doesn't. I'm honestly tired of everyone just saying things and people taking it at face value. But I'm not going along with the general consensus until I get a detailed explanation of this X-factor narrative being pushed. And also both teams are allowed to have tactics. At the end of the day football is a game of fine margins and you will inevitably get many low scoring games.

I've always said that Odegaard is Arsenal's best player. It's def close now. Sara, Rice, Salina... They're all A tier, world class players. But Odegaard is A1 for me and they still don't have an S tier. Or even had a player who at least be an S tier for one season like Benzema did or Foden was last year

Nah man, that's not what was wrong in this game. With Merino and Ødegaard out there's a lack of consistent creativity and ball retention, Havertz is good at keeping the ball but not very good at doing line breaking passes and Trossard isn't good at retaining the ball. The player to fix the problem is Ethan Nwaneri, the issue is he's just 17. Also I'd argue that Sterling's an X factor, Set pieces are an X factor, Saka's an X factor, Havertz is an X factor, Jesus is an X factor and Trossard is an X factor. The issue is the midfield, Saka had none of the ball, Martinelli was missing sitters, Havertz struggling out of position, Jesus lacking match sharpness, Partey struggling with playing every week. The midfield is on it's knees at the moment. For me we just need to get through these 2 months, come out of it 1-5 pts off City and I'm positive.
