INEOS might have dodged a bullet keeping EtH in the summer. The majority of fans still backed him and it would have been super toxic if they'd sacked him then. The new manager and INEOS themselves would have been under huge scrutiny. Now, there is no argument that EtH had to go. The fanbase will be 100% behind Amorim and hope has returned.
@JoeBob795693 күн бұрын
Yes, my thoughts exactly. We if ETH had been sacked in the summer we would never have known if he could have turned it around after the FA Cup win, and it would have left everybody wondering, and the fanbase would have been divided on it. At least this way we know for sure. IMO it was done in the right way.

*Welcome to United Coach Amorim* *But a subtle analysis* 1. Amorim was an intern at United under Muhrihno and he wanted United always. 2.He wrote into his contract that any of the 7 top clubs would have to pay 20 million, any other club outside the top 7 clubs 10 milion. 3. Liverpool approached and when the realize he would not waive the clause, they ran away. 4. He wanted United to come after him after the FA club and never got an interview. 5. He visited West Ham but that was never a reality. The rest is history when Brailesford reached out and was told what took you so long, my contract with Sporting was written with United in mind. *Collusion is one big thing I love, thank you Mr Amorim, let’s win the league that will always be your goal.*

My main hopes are that Amorim can turn Man Utd into a team that is defensively solid but also a threat going forward. My concerns are the players being able to play his system (players couldn’t play ETHs system). The transfer budget for this season and next season, and the players giving up on his tactics. They have done it with every single manager so far.

22:18 From my limited experience, every country’s media is critical of managers and players in big teams. I’ve seen the French media unfairly criticise the French national team before the euros (after they lost the WC final to Argentina). But the British media is just something else. Their negative coverage and tactics are much more dirty and underhanded (example was today reporting that ETH went back to Netherlands upset that he lost his job, that’s petty and low). And to cap it off their coverage is nowhere near even. Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea get a comparatively easy ride compared to Man Utd and Arsenal. Amorim will find out the hard way that these snakes cannot be reasoned with.

I think that the signings made this summer seem to suit Amorim's style of play more than Ten Hag's. Zirkzee playing as one of two 10's off the striker, he is not a 9 and wasn't going to replace Bruno as the only 10. 2 centre backs brought in and only Kambwala out, boosting the number of centre backs, providing enough cover for a back three. Realistically there are too many senior centre backs at the club for a team playing with a back 4. Ugarte never seemed like a Ten Hag signing. I don't think he has started consecutive games yet this season. You have to assume he will have a consistent place in the team under Amorim. Wing back is a position that requires rotation across the season, especially if you go deep in the cup competitions and Europe, which is why Mazraoui was signed. Is it possible that the plan was to go to Amorim all along and they were just waiting to see how long into the season Ten Hag could survive? The level of emotional support for Ten Hag after the cup final made it difficult to sack him at that time.

Both erik and Amorim want to play fast attacking football in a direct manner. But our players often is very sloppy and loose the ball cheaply and we are to open to counter attacks. I do not see any sign here that there will be any change under Amorim. They are very similar i how they wanna play. I think Amorim will struggle with playing 3 in the back. These players already struggle enough with 4 in the back. Remember erik has tried to play 3 at the back last season but we concede too many shots. I will tell you if amorim play 3 at the back with these players Onana is gonna be buissy the rest of the season. And onana finaly started to find hes form. Im worried that will be ruined now with 3 at the back. We gonna be an open Highway u can drive through. Im worried we Will loose 9- 10 games. I hope in wrong. But im not too exited about this.

my comments are very simple, as a long long time man utd supporter. Ruben needs to start coaching the young players like Garmacho who an excellent player is but a head as headless chicken. he doesn't have the subtlety of to stop and think before he heads on towards the goal. it's very simple head up and he could give a 100 assist with goal potential. as for Marcus, head is in the cloud and has lost all confidence ie: too much external distraction , as for some of the other players aren't worthy of being in the red shirt yours sincerely krimo
