Money talks for sure. They got a great player. Now they just need to develop that player. Bc if they don’t, massive financial mistake. These types of decisions are always view much differently when the player first signs to when they leave. Only time will tell

Ineos came in, stripped the dead wood not in the team but in the staff. When we were after Harry Kane, I remember our transfer negotiators saying, 'we just don't want to negotiate with Levy, he's difficult and we will either overpay or just not get him.' Sir Jim headhunted the best backroom staff and directors etc, and now WE have the people that others don't want to be up against.

@@jdoublet94 ah yes however selling Casemiro & Sancho doesn’t really help much with PSR. Chelsea have this issue with Lukaku for example, they paid £100m for him and paid big wages, so to sell him for £30m does not represent profit on the balance sheet. So selling Casemiro will still represent a big loss. Only academy players or players there over 5 years already can show as profit. Chelsea’s way of getting around this was to sell their own hotel and car park to their owners for £76.3m in April 😔 the exact amount they needed to get past the PSR points deduction before June 30th. It’s not like playing FIFA. Man United are allowed to make a loss of £115m over 3 years, however they are looking to be at negative £270m at the moment.

It’s been a turbulent 10 + years. It’s been without football focused board member’s. It’s got positions in place that wasn’t there before. It will no longer be working with significant net losses against players. We’ve still won 2x Fa Cups 1x Leauge cup 1x Europa And finished ahead of Klopp during liverpools best period in 30 years, 4 times leading to Cl spots. This should be a worry for others. The giant is about to wake up!!
