At the very least a quick vacuuming beforehand should be a must. It's like for people who tidy up before a professional cleaner comes to do the house. It's best to do the basic cleaning before they arrive so they can spend more time doing the deep cleaning.

Don’t get me wrong. That carpet is dirty AF. But, it’s not just about the vacuum he’s using. A lot of it has to do with speed. Look how slow he goes when he vacuums (at least the first pass) and then think about how quick you do it.

I have to tell you- after watching several of your videos I bought a Shark because my Dyson was pushing 10 yrs old.. i filled that canister on a 2x2 spot. I could NOT believe it!! Granted it was the most trafficked area and I have 2 boys that are in and out all day every day- but THANK YOU!!! My son has asthma and now maybe I know my carpets are actually getting clean our home can be healthier!! Bless you!

My favorite vacuum cleaner to use commercially for this type of job is the Workhorse/Cleartrak which was originally designed by James Dyson. It has the same clear bin as the Shark, but it has a dual cyclone, a larger collection chamber, it seems to clean carpet far better than my Dyson and Shark models, and so forth. They are a bit heavy, but they are so overbuilt that they never break. We recently used it at a local retreat center and the people who were with us (and even me) were astonished at how much dirt it got. Sadly, I did not think to bring my camera.

It’s seen an antique hardwood floor, high and low pile carpet, a full grown husky, three cats, I’ve vacuumed up pieces of bones and giant fluff pieces from when my dog was a puppy.. it is so easy to clean. I’ve had mine for over five years with no problem even using three times a week. Get one!!

Mari Blackmon get a shark. I had a bissel and this is how I convinced my husband. Do a back to back clean! We vacuum multiple times a week, and if my dogs shedding is bad or the kids were extremely messy twice in a day. My neighbor had this shark, I borrowed it. I told my husband to vacuum our room, our dog stays in there the most. We got our average dirt/hair up. I then went over what he JUST cleaned with that Shark and well... I have the blue version of this shark haha.

Love my Shark!! The best way to keep them going strong is to follow the "Max fill" line on the canister - if it doesn't have enough room in the canister, it loses suction power and has to work harder. You might have to stop more often in any given room, but it'll be worth it.

Just an fyi:: if you get wax on your carpet, get an old washcloth and lay it over the spot, use the steam setting on your iron on top of the wash cloth. The steam and heat loosens the wax and it gets pulled up into the cloth :) you can do this for wine and coffee stains too!
