@whynottalklikeapirat5 жыл бұрын
@@MrCmon113It's nonsense that you cannot respect and appreciate something and kill and eat it at the same time. Most hunting societies have a deep and intimate understanding of prey animals. To hunt an animal you must understand a lot about what it is and what it does, even to the point of personal identification. You must be able to put yourself in it's shoes, and get into that mindset. Especially if your own and your familys livelihood depends on it. Hunting societies are at the mercy of prey and the movements of nature to the point where identification borders on the Helsinki syndrome, you can see that in all the ancient hunting rituals, and in the way respect is payed and gratitude is shown to the animal and offerings are made back to nature. This is way beyond commercial harvesting or farming of animals and certainly way beyond what consumers experience. They do not show respect to a piece of meat wrapped in plastic down in the super market. The attachment is gone. That's callous. That's distanced. That is feeding with no sense of the larger picture. What you track, kill and eat you earned. Don't think it's easy or without risk. If we want to eat we should not be strangers to the kill or to the entropy of life.
