Springtime is the time for visible gold. I once took over 7 oz out of a crack that was the size of a dime standing on a end. Digging for gold with the kitchen utensil? A metal detector does not make it easy gold and no work. But if you combine both of them in the situation that you're in you might just find you have different Luck get a real pick. Good job on the video! Detectors detect the surface to the detector nuggets stand on end in the cracks if you pick out the cracks spreads the stuff out it will equalize the ground and put the Nuggets so they're flat-out and you will be able to hear them much easier it takes work and practiced running that detector you got a ways to go keep up the faith! The Best Is Yet To Come!

Thank you Pat, some clarification and pointers regarding what you said...The "kitchen tool" you are referring to is actually a crevicing tool made by Gary aka two toes, he sells them and they are very useful, so usefull that I owe a lot of my recent finds to that tool alone. I understand what you say about the targets standing vs flat and the different sounds, you had brought this up in a comment in another video as well. Personally if I dig out a crack with no signal based on just the looks of the crack, It's all going in a pan and getting panned out anyways. Faster and more efficient that what you mentioned as there could be smaller gold in it that is not detectable. If you are only after nuggets that sound off, one could say slowing down to dig out cracks that dont sound off might slow the day down.. Everyone has their own method though, Heavy pans Pat.

How did I miss this one? Some of your finest work Jerry. Definitely a day we all would have loved to have been there.
