I’m underway with the RCIA here in Oxfordshire, England. This is a great video, fab content that reminds me of how far I have to go in my walk with God in my new faith. There’s so much I don’t know and this video opens up a new area of discovery that I simply have to explore. Any more videos, or pointers toward further readings would be greatly appreciated! Oh, and you deserve tons of subs. As ever, P Edit: I’m buying this medal.

Hi, Paul- we are so glad you enjoyed the video. We still remember the first time we heard this story- we were amazed and want to share it with as many people as we can. LOl- it turns out that amazing stories like this are pretty par for the course for the Catholic Church, which is indeed a church of miracles. The more we read and study the more we run into stories like this one. If you can get ahold of any of Joan Carroll Cruz's books, they might interest you. Her "Eucharistic Miracles" book in particular goes from one amazing event to another. Also, if you have an older church nearby with a library, many of the older Catholic books include fascinating stories of miracles that more modern writers just don't write about. The older books may have titles like "Who Is She? A Treatise on the Blessed Mother" ( by Fulgence Meyer) and turn out to have many interesting stories in them. We have a few other videos (Our Favorite Rosary Miracles, More Rosary Miracles, and Art Mysteries with Mary) that have other of our favorite stories. Alphonse Ratisbonne, though, ranks as one of our top favorites of all time, along with Bartolo Longo (in our Test Drive The Church's Most Powerful Novenas video) and Pia Secondo and the Shroud of Turin (In our Catholic History Mysteries video). The Veil Removed on youtube is another great video if you have not seen that one yet. There is just so much to learn about the Catholic Church; you will never be bored as a Catholic! God bless you on your RCIA journey :)

Alphonse's story is probably our very favorite conversion story; it is so amazing on so many levels. (Fr. Donald Calloway's conversion story ranks up there with it as far as amazing goes, though). The Blessed Mother had her eye on both men, and they both became priests- so awesome!
