Doesn't matter if he is drunk. The cruise has the liability to keep its passengers safe. Unless they have footage of him running and throwing himself into the ocean, this man will get paid considerably. Railings should be high enough to prevent people tipping over into the ocean. That includes drunks. Which are expected to be aboard since they are serving alcohol. Furthermore, they have the liability to stop serving him alcohol if he appears intoxicated. Another legitimate argument that could be made in court is they continued to serve him which led to his fall. Big money coming his way.

Be sure he was floating...A Lot. Even if he never had successfully before, I’m sure he had to try. And watching TV, or others in the past, doing it, he had examples to go by. Salt water also keeps you more buoyant. Ppl commenting here who are rescuers, etc, are saying he must have been floating part of the time. Which I was thinking, regardless. I’m not a big time swimmer, myself...or floater. But you can bet if I was out in open water, I’d certainly be putting that to the test! And being on the coast, the bay here def is easier to tread water in, than the lakes. I prefer swimming in the lake, however. Walking & wading, the ocean.
@doncourtreporter Жыл бұрын
@@dreamcatcher5502 Yeah. In the water vertically, like standing, take a deep breath and just hang your head forward, down in the water so that now only the back of your head is above water. Rest and hang there for ten seconds, rest. Then start to release air slowly while you spread your legs into a small step forward position, while you slide your arms up beside your body. Then slowly put arms out to the side so that now your body is in a T shape while legs spread like walking. When all your air is out you kick legs to push up your body while you lift your head and breathe while you use your arms to push down while you fill up your lungs. Then hang free again and rest with face underwater again and think of something else. Repeat for one hour for Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. Peace.

Not always. Some people have more body fat to muscle ratio and don’t have to tread at all. When I use to lifeguard we had this fat girl lifeguard. She was so buoyant she could barely swim under water. It was wild.
