Was something wrong with the van James had? It can't really be the horribly slow...can it? Imagine taking that thing out on the freeway, you wouldn't even be able to get up to speed. And as slow as it was it was empty! Imagine if it was loaded up with cargo how awful it would be. There had to be something wrong with it, nobody would have ever bought one of those if they were that miserably slow.

When Jeremy takes off the rear door falls off and he yells "the damn doors come off" as if he had no idea that was about to happen. The door was clearly rigged to come off. Doors don't just completely fall off of a car like that. The large majority of Top Gear was scripted. Sure there was some off the cuff moments but those were pretty few and far between.
