I love that this is a spiritual successor to ars magica 2. Made by the same guy too. Ars Nouveau is also inspired by it. A pack making use of these two goes by the name of "Salt Of Life 2", which I recommend. The pack maker is very nice and open to suggestions, whether he adds more... Is up in the air.

I was thinking the ores and flowers looked familiar. I used to play with Ars Magica a lot, but I always struggled with the light, neutral, and dark essences.

Watched the old bit by bit on Mana and Artifice and I liked how you did that one with starting at the beginning and working your way through while showing everything. Can't say I'm particuarly fond of this new style. The staff of the pilgrim is a great early game have and doesn't really require much else to be done into the mod. But jumping from there into the rituals and stuff is a bit confusing since you're not following the occulus.

I was still following the order you had access to things. Occulus is just for progression suggestions. At least on this older version.

I like that this mod builds on AM2 but I kind of preferred the simplistic nature of that mod, this mod feels like a tech mod disguised as a magic mod, and AM2 felt more vanilla+ in feeling(obviously not in a true sense) where as M&A feels like a full on modpack within a single mod. I really like it and basically add it to every pack I play nowadays if it’s not there but I miss the simplicity at times.

Weird that the runeforge I found at a village didn't create a spellmonger.. Which brings up a short video you could do, on that mod the mod author of recommended using. Specifically Hedge Magic. An addon for Mana & Artifice

I was wonderin' if you found a way to move the Nanaweave Caches from where they spawned. I love the look and wanted to use it as a place to put my MNA items in for easier findin', but any attempt results in breakin'.

Sadly I have been trying to figure out how to complete the 1st task in the Occ the use a bell of binding to assign a construct. I have done what I believe to be assigning. The construct goes to the board and does the task shown on the board but no credit is given. Looked online found nothing had hopped maybe you had gone over it. Sadly it seems not so. But great videos.

What you do is you make a rune of projection, put it in the bottom slot and put an enchanted item you want to transfer an enchantment from on top. you have to have fire and arcane conduits of some sort next to it, and certain amounts of experience levels. once you fulfill those, you press the button and over a short time it transfers a random enchantment from the item above to the item below. To add that enchantment to an item, you put the recipient on the anvil first, the enchanted Rune of Projection on top, and use your runesmith hammer to pound it in.

Hard to tell without knowing exactly which mods and minecraft version you're running on, but don't forget the "CoFH Core" for thermal foundation. If its on 1.12 you also need "Redstone Flux API" but if you're using a more recent version that isn't necessary any more. Hope that helps! ;)

I mean it's nice... but it's not Ars Magica 2. I dont get why the developer didn't just make a rewrite and incorporate new ideas into it. Everything about Ars Magica 2 was perfect, from its structure mechanics, it's unique spell crafting system, and all of the mechanics that governed magic, like affinities. No mod, even to this day, has come close to comparing except electroblobs. Why? I actually don't get it. I tried playing with Ars Novaue and thought it was neat. But it completely gave up on the spell crafting system. (You just combine effects in a basic gui). All it really has is some cute animations to make it look good in youtube shorts. This mod feels the same way, it does what it can to look flashy, but gameplay wise it couldn't be less interesting.... its like you took all the epic ideas and mechanics of Ars Magica 2 and replaced them with a kids birthday party magician instead. The wand you cast spells with looks like you bought it from halloween outlet. Don't even get me started on how generic the textures are and how every block/model looks the same. Just a plain black and white texture. I mean you really can't defend this mod other than the fact its a mod and nobody was obliged to make it.

There's no need to call it and it's art names or be so crass about it. People have spent a lot of time and effort to make this mod and you are disrespecting that.
