When I was around 10 years old, I made a large dollhouse from empty cardboard boxes. I decorated the walls of the rooms with wallpaper sample sheets (must have been something my mother had). Cut up squares of an old carpet for flooring (probably found a carpet in someone's garbage by the side of the road -- I was always on the lookout for stuff I could make into something for my dollhouse). I found sheets of styrofoam packing material and used those to carve out shapes for couches and chairs and beds, and painted them and/or covered them with fabric. I think you get the idea. The end product came out really nice, and my friends oohed and ahhed over what I made. Now, this was more than 50 years ago, when parents were buying Barbie Dreamhouse type dollhouses for their kids. But I had so much fun making my own. So, these videos of transforming cardboard boxes bring back happy memories of creating my own dollhouse.

Looked high and low for a foot locker style trunk to store my daughter's dress up clothes. kzbin.infoUgkxRkkpE1_3gMEZ2mPhAt6b2moNCUXyH8tG I had one growing up that I stored my Barbies in and wanted something sturdy like that for her costumes. This arrived really, really quickly and is exactly what I've been looking for. Perfect size, color (pink) and has stood up for nearly a year so far against my kids using it as a chair, stage, and barricade (😬) to keep each other out of their rooms. I'm probably going to order another one for my daughter's Barbies.

The newspaper box reminded me of when I was in campfire Girls and we made something similar.....rolled them up and glued them to a clean soup can, with ribbon trim and clothesline stuck in the top, to make a ribbed trim. We left it natural. But I like the brown over it! It looks like wood! Very Cool! And I make boxes with material and lace trim. Combined together.....never thought of that! Looked nice! 👍😁

I had a bookcase/open shelf unit from when I was five. It stayed at home whilst I didn’t. I think it lasted until I was about 35, with some of my mother’s craft items shelved there. Mum made it from cardboard boxes, with paper mache over all. It was extremely sturdy

Very clever, pretty easy to do, and what I really like is that I might be able to make use of a lot of my many Amazon boxes, as well as repurpose some other things around the house, like old shirts. Why more than 5,000 people decided to give this video a thumbs down is a mystery to me. 5,000 grumpy people with too much time on their hands, I guess. 😸

I pretty much loved almost all of these ideas! I really like the ideas here because they actually seem long-term, instead of like a bunch of other KZbin channels where it looks like they're kind of a content farm. I really like that you use everyday boxes for this too because I feel like I am inspired. Content farms will produce cute stuff, but I'm often questioning the sturdiness of what they create. Plus I've noticed that they'll just throw in a paper towel roll to make it look like they're recycling, but then they'll have a bunch of other materials, like rope, etc, that you have to buy and so I'm left wondering at what point is this actually reusing. I literally just got done with one where they said "you wouldn't believe it's made out of paper!" And there wasn't even any paper...

Loved the floral desk set, finished @ 12:18 . I'm going to do that one for myself. The box with the newspapers folded would look nice in someone's home that likes farmhouse style. Reminded me of logs, just add a plastic container in with flowers. That wicker looking basket at the end, also could be farmhouse style and look nice on the picnic table. Never though of using boxes, this was a WOW idea and nice that it doesn't cost much to make. This was an amazing video, I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for your great ideas and hope to see more.
