Thanks for sharing. I didn't know about Gear Lever. I learnt how to do the app images manually without any additional software - it's easy in Mint. Download app image, move download into a user created folder, right click app image to give exe permission, right click Mint applications menu icon, select edit, navigate to app image and to make it a new menu item to add to apps menu list. Heck, I just realised how difficult that sounds for Linux newbies - my advice use Gear Lever like you recommended.

I used AppImage for MuseScore. Didn't know at the time the significance. Ha! But I like the idea of AppImages. Will use them when available. Otherwise, will use apt, flatpak and snaps as needed. No other preference. Thank you for your vids!

Or go to terminal, type chmod +x filepath and the program becomes executable
