I find it all confusing. My dad has heart failure and kidney issues. he is 84 years old. His feet are very, very swollen and is on 5 tablets a day of fuerosmide and his feet just dont go down. His salts have dropped to 1.28. So now his heart nurse wants him back on Butemanide which did bring the swelling down better. They have told him to add more salt to his food or eat some salty snacks to bring the salts back up
