As a rangers fan, Beale was more damaging to our club than pedro caixinha was. Pedro was the completely wrong manager for the demands that rangers had, but he had minimal backing and inherited an awful team, Beale on the other hand was the complete opposite, inherited a team that retained much of the core parts that went to a europa league final. He turned a competitive team that needed 3/4 more players to be a winning team into a shell of its former self after spending roughly 20million which for rangers is like if Everton spend £100 million in a year. Worst thing is, I wanted Beale to do so well at rangers.

I love Zealand's portrayal of Ange at Tottenham is basically Crocodile Dundee turning up in North London, saying "G'day mate" carrying a Fosters in hand, and then competing for top 4. I can't help but love Ange, as a fellow Aussie.

Yep. 3 jobs in a row, 3 fanbases who hated him. When Sunderland appointed him Rangers fans warned us that he would alienate the players, fall out with the fanbase, be far too active and sensitive on social media, push a brand of awful football, spout corporate buzzword BS like a machine gun. All of this came true.

I knew I liked you for a reason..FM fanatic and a Sunderland fan, you're like my American counterpart 😁 If you don't already know, you might be interested in a club in Kenya called Sunderland AFC Naivasha (formerly Sunderland AFC Keroche/Karai). They're a club of Sunderland fans who are sponsored by locals in the North East of England and they stream their matches and share Club News on Facebook. They are now on a similar rise to us but in the Kenyan Football Pyramid and it's a lovely representation on how the sport brings people of all lives together. I think it would be an excellent story to cover on your channel.

Oof as a North American (Canadian) Sunderland fan who picked them because they were far away from Bristol (where I was living) and they were similar to my grade school team I played on. So I feel the pain of that support. Of course when I started following they had Nail Quinn and Kevin Phillips which was a lot of fun. Beale was a foolish appointment and I am glad he is gone.

Life long Sunderland fan and born and bred in Sunderland! I'm just about to go to the match ( season ticket holder for 27 years) I've seen some shit in my time but never ever seen this happen! Beale will sneak off to a club in Europe spouting his David Brent rubbish blaming everyone else apart from himself! Sunderland fans admittedly didn't want him and his first home game was toxic! He should never have been given the job but it's not his fault in applying! Hopefully Dodds can get us into the playoffs ( be very hard ) and we get Will Still in the summer!

That account, along with a ton of other evidence, proves he's not an honest guy though (even if he admitted it was his). Many managers need to learn words have meaning & actions have consequences. I'll always go back to Benitez (as a Chelsea fan) to make this point, he calls us soulless & says he'll never manage a club "like us", then has the cheek to play the victim when it's apparent he'll never be given a chance with the fans. Was just a throw away comment to connect with Liverpool fans at the time, but it showed he has no respect & the fact he didn't live by those words (and refused to acknowledge he even said them) showed he has no integrity. This is a hole Beale dug himself. He didn't need to preach about loyalty at QPR, were throw away comments to make the fans embrace him even more, then actively looked to jump ship within months - so immediately no-one's going to take you seriously cos your words are meaningless. Just like that account, anytime he praised Sunderland in interviews is utterly meaningless now, what owner will hire a guy they can never trust is openly saying what he's feeling? At that point all you have left is coaching skill to offer & football management is too competitive & unstable to stay anywhere for a significant period of time based on that alone.
