It's very hard to do less at university when you're sick, and this video reminded me that it's okay to put your health first. Thank you.😊😊😊

Would you recommend taking online classes if you have a chronic illness ? Iam planning on attending a community college in wich if I commute it will take 1hr max but I don't know what to do since I recently discovered my illness it throws my plans off a bit any advice?

I would 100% recommend taking an online class if they're available. The thing with online classes is that they basically require you to be good at learning from reading and making sure you set up your own schedule to work. If that's not a problem for you then it's a wonderful idea! If some of the classes you want to take are only in person see if you can ask your instructors if they'd be willing to skype or phone you into class so you can hear the lectures if you're feeling too ill to make the hour commute. Since your diagnosis is new then you're still trying to see what your limits are! Be kind to yourself and take the minimum/standard amount of classes for this semester and see how it goes. Personally, I find that taking most of my classes on a few days of the week rather than spreading them out helps. Like this semester I have 5hrs of classes on Monday, 2hrs of class tuesday, and 5 hours of class Thursday. For me only having to leave the house once (and take snacks, water, and pain meds with me) is a good system because I rest in bed on wednesday and friday. Try things out and make sure your instructor knows about your illness! If your college has an advisor ask them for help too! Wow sorry this is so long but I hope it helps! I'm praying for you and wishing you the best! I hope your college experience is wonderful!
