@@Yellowlab247_Outdoors I’ve recently been getting interested in editing as I’ve just built my first computer a few months ago, been watching the channel for a while now. I want to gain some experience, maybe one day I could edit for someone full time

the best thing for me right now is just experience and helping someone that maybe doesn’t have the time or doesn’t enjoy that side of content creation

On my second year of a 5 acre sunflower field. I plant in rows I have had very good success but I have a question? what can I plant in the fall that will feed them in the winter/ early spring that would have time to mature before planting my sunflowers again? I’m located in eastern Nc
@Yellowlab247_Outdoors4 ай бұрын
Plant Winter Wheat at 100lbs per acre in October and let it grow all the way to maturity in the spring/early summer. That will feed the doves all spring and help with you hatch and train the young birds. You can then broadcast millet straight into it for a millet field then burn it all off later!

@@Yellowlab247_Outdoors thanks a lot if you don’t mind me asking what seeds are you using for sunflowers and to keep the weeds out of them ?

You gotta see Keke in a dove field sometime. Come hunt with us when we cut the corn around the house.
@Yellowlab247_Outdoors4 ай бұрын
YES! I want too. I will need to come out there, let me know when they cut it. Will bring the pup and turn it into a day

Is there anything you can spare on your corn to help dry it out if it's not looking ready for the opener
@Yellowlab247_Outdoors4 ай бұрын
I am sure there is something but not worth the cost and effort with so much rain. Still 3 weeks to the opener, I think we will be just in time. Glad I didnt plant a week later

Paraquat (Gramoxone) is used as a desiccant for corn. It is a controlled chemical and is very hazardous. His corn will be dry enough by season. Even if the plant is green, the grain will be dry enough to bush hog for the birds.

@@longdoveclub549 was even drier this weekend so I think we will be good to start cutting a few strips in the next week or so. Getting close!

Man, I want to do a dove field SOO bad. But our heavy black clay, and my lack of equipment, makes it about impossible to time perfectly like I have to with my soils. Plots are about 25% successful for me in the last 5 years.
@Yellowlab247_Outdoors4 ай бұрын
Maybe you could just do a very simplified method of spraying the field and broadcasting millet? It can work well in a lot of soils

What are you looking for in a two row planter? I have a couple I'm selling.
@Yellowlab247_Outdoors4 ай бұрын
send me an email, tjmoore74@gmail.com. Wanting something $1k or under, with sunflower and corn plates that is ready to go. I will see some on Marketplace but they sell before I can get on them. Everyone else wants $1,500-2000 for them and I just cant swing that.

@@Yellowlab247_Outdoors I have a John Deere 71 flex 2 row on 30” rows I picked up a few years back. Keep your eye out for one of those as they are still easy to get parts for and are pretty dang good/easy to use planters. I upgraded this year to a kinze 4 row notill due to the amount of acreage I’m planting. I’d sell you mine but, my brother called dibs.

Like the videos but please STOP the Premiere notifications. It just clogs up peoples alerts. Thanks
@Yellowlab247_Outdoors4 ай бұрын
Let me check the settings, I think when you have notifications (the bell) selected, it does this automatically when there is a premiere set. Premiere help people know a video is dropping so they can engage quicker. I will see what I can do on my end, but you might want to unclick the Bell. Thanks for letting me know!
