You didnt say how we should go about cleaning down there. I just discovered my prolapse 2 weeks ago. I just got it diagnosed 6 days ago. I feel like I don't want to hurt anything.

I have a 9 week old baby and have a prolapse from the birth. I can feel my prolapse symptoms when I lift her out of the cot, but I can't avoid lifting her, she can't even hold her head up properly yet. I'm dreading when I have to return to work, as ot's so uncomfortable and achy when I stand, and I'm a nurse and on my feet for 12 hours a day 😓

How you doing today?
@whiggygirl2 жыл бұрын
@@ajohonly3721 thank you for asking. Turns out it wasn't actually a prolapse! (Gynae mis-diagnosed me!). Just terrible painful scarring and an extremely weak pelvic floor! Feel TONS better now, and I can run again! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend a Pelvic Floor Physio!

Yeah, the last tip is not going to work for me, unfortunately. I have a child with special needs whom I have to constantly lift up whenever needed and I'll keep on lifting my child for as long as my body can. I consulted a pelvic therapist who didn't really have a solution for me other than trying to squat and use my pelvic floor instead of my abdomen as much as possible. Then I consulted a specialist who just fit me with a pessary with no other advice :\

Thanks for commenting and sharing because I am in the same situation as you. I have a child with special needs too and am his primary caregiver. I am required to lift him often throughout the day. You are not alone mama! I wish you the best.

Nice video. I do not agree that any PFE's can help change the stage of any prolapse. Once there's a lump it will not go back. Good published work to confirm that. Unfortunately some women with pelvic discomfort, which is mainly musculoskeletal, are examined vaginally, with a speculum, and told they 'have a prolapse'. What they have is less vaginal support than before pregnancy etc.. They may have laxity of the vaginal walls, or uterine support, with descent well down the vagina. 'Stage' 1/2. The majority do not complain of the true symptom of prolapse which is the awareness of a lump, worse on standing and straining. They do not have bothersome 'prolapse'.They do not need to see a urogynaecologist. However the pelvic discomfort they feel can be helped with a sympathetic enthusiastic PF Physio showing them how to perform Kegals, and with general advice regarding weight, lifting etc. You can really help them, but you won't be 'treating prolapse', no more than a urogynaecologist will help women with the discomfort of the musculoskeletal pelvic disorder that you and I see.

As in trampolining? I think it's great fun. And as long as you have sufficient support underneath (strong enough pelvic floor) then you should be fine.
