I wish I had seen this video years ago. Not only would it have saved me from so much pain, tests, etc., but it would have helped my mom who suffered needlessly from constant UTIs. None of my mom's doctors mentioned this, nor did mine, and when she passed away just a week ago, she had a UTI. I saw a doctor about your video yesterday, and she wondered why no one previously ever mentioned this to me or to my mom. She said it is the first line of defense now for post menopause women.

I never knew about vaginal atrophy. Doctors kept telling me to use anti fungals but I knew it wasn't helping. Gynae said uti. I said No this is different. None of them said Oh you're in your 50's maybe you need some estrogen. Honestly some doctors are idiots. I've been suffering for 5 years needlessly. So happy to get answers on youtube of all places 😊

I am an active 79 and so thankful to find you on KZbin! My doctor prescribed Estradiol Vaginal Cream for incontinence with no instructions. I was afraid of the side effects after reading the warnings listed. The price was $125. I had to initially type Estrace to search the GoodRX price. The pharmacist said the GoodRX coupon did not apply since the tube would last over 180 days. I will start tonight now having full knowledge of this drug and what to expect. God bless you and yours. You made my day! THANK YOU X O

Thank you so much for this great presentation about the Estridol cream and showing how to load the applicator. I was just prescribed this by my Urologist/Gynecologist.. I was going to a Gynecologist for many years. J owever my last visit was very painful getting a pap smear. I was in tears. She told me to use coconut oil to combat the vaginal dryness also the vulva area.. I then made an appointment with a Urologist/Gynecologist. She immediately diagnosed the problem and prescribed Estridol, however the instructions weren't clear as far as instructions with the applicator. Thank you again for this great instructional video. And also for explaining some other very important issues. So glad I'm not in pain and in the dark anymore. #61 and Strong!❤❤❤❤

To add to my comment…I’m like all of these other ladies! I’ve suffered so needlessly all of my adult life! But after menopause it worsened! No one, I mean no one knew what to do with we women! I live in rural Missouri. Just saw a precious gynecologist (who is originally from Russia,) today who prescribed this for me! I’m 78 years old and have suffered from terrific pain since 2012. No intercourse because of the pain! I was passed from at least 10 different types of Dr.’s either saying I don’t know how to treat this or they finally say I’ve done all I can do! The last nurse Practitioner inserted horse urine in the vaginal area and it didn’t help at all! When I looked at the side affects I said that’s it NO more! I can’t even describe the torture I’ve been through! But I know I don’t suffer alone! My heart is broken for we women who have suffered at the hands of Dr.’s who didn’t have a clue but went ahead and put us through false hope! I’m so ashamed of our country for what they’ve put us through needlessly! Many other countries are on the cutting edge of treatments because they care about people….but oh no, here in America it’s all about greed, and the love of money! Sorry but I’m telling the truth and when people turn their back on God this is what happens!!!! Thank you Doctor for being so open and honest sharing your heart! May God bless you beyond anything you could ask or think.

This is the best video I've seen for estradiol vaginal cream. I wish I seen this faster. I started premature menopause in my thirties and was completely done at 39. The doctor put me on a hormone patch but I always was feeling dry and hurting. At the present time I'm not sexually active because I've been separated from my husband but it was temporarily. My obstetrician told me I don't need vaginal cream. From this video I'm learning the importance and how the vaginal thins out and it gets worse and worse over time. Since my thirties I have missed out and I'm almost 50 of using vaginal cream. I just started recently with the vaginal recommended for my urologist.... .Thank you so much for this video

I have been using vaginal estrogen for about 20 years, I’m 75. I used to have to buy it from Canada, 3 tubes for $70, $300 in US at that time (that was for Premarin brand)So my doc would give me a written prescription and I would use a Canadian pharmacy. Now I buy Estradiol from an online pharmacy since I moved and didn’t want to search out another doc right away. So I get sent 3 tubes for $98. Works fantastic, I have never had a UTI, and no irritation. I did try stopping for a while thinking I was ok, but the pain of dryness and my bladder started dropping due to no support, I will stay on this until I die. I’m so glad this information is getting out, it took 3 Dr. to figure it out for me.

I've been using vaginal estrogen since my late 20's for vulvar vestibulitis syndrome - it stopped the excruciating pain and kept me from ending my own life. This was just after I had had some urinary symptoms that turned out to be due to a precancerous growth in my urethra. The urinary symptoms stopped after the growth was removed, but then the vvs started. Around 20 yrs later I started having nonstop urinary symptoms - dysuria, frequency, urgency, incontinence. They were not due to infection or interstitial cystitis, or recurrence of the growth (thank goodness). I had a cystoscopy with hydrodistension under general anesthesia; my dr was hoping the hydrodistension itself might help my symptoms. Unfortunately, it didn't. One day I decided to include the area around the opening of the urethra in my application of estradiol cream. After a while, I noticed my bladder symptoms started improving, and now I hardly have any bladder issues.

Today has been very enlightening for me! I went through menopause in my late 40's by the time I was 53 I had a tear practically on top of an awful episiotomy I had at 24 during childbirth. Now almost 57 I am just learning about what I have been going through all these years that I am not the only one! All the while having a husband who is ten years younger who has been literally a saint for not being able to be intimate for 3 years via no penetration. Two years ago a Dr. due to covid called me on the phone did give Rx for the cream but only said try it for awhile. When it seemed it was not doing so much for us I stopped. The Dr. a woman Never said you should use this forever! It is hard to find gyn's in my rural area that are close to your age or have had enough experiences similar to yours, some here have never even had a baby. Thank you so much for this knowledge, I will dust off my tube if not expired...

I blame 80% of the doctors in the United States that are not communicating with female patients about sex and how their vagina feels. I never even heard the two words conjugated estrogen until I moved and retired to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. When I got a package deal getting my mammogram screening and a pap smear they're all about the woman here. I was shocked how comfortable they were in asking me about my sex life and how I felt in my female area. I told them I was 65 when I tried having sex before at 63 it hurts so bad and it kind of hurts when I pee. I immediately that day started using conjugated estrogen. I have been on it for one year. I inserted internally and a little bit of it externally. I am having the best sex. Nothing hurts. I feel like I have the vagina I had when I was 38. When I pee it feels good. Everything is good. Every woman should be on this!! I am now 68.

I was provided a script for this product and have been in post menopause for almost 20 years and the body is now delivering some pain in the act. I appreciate straight talk. Looking at the WHO recommendations and warnings would have me seeking balanced progesterone. Understanding UTI an vaginal atrophy is a critical part of aging gracefully. I really want to know what this is made from. If it is horse hormone like Premarin, I will have reactions. I have the Fred Meyer, Kroger prescription plan and it started at $75 with insurance today and with that membership, it was $28. That seems a pretty good deal.

I’m 35 and I surely wish I knew about this earlier. So I was pregnant at 25 and during 2nd trimester I noticed I couldn’t have any penetrative intercourse. At the time I was fighting acid reflux that had occurred a year before pregnancy and it caused me to have scar tissue in my esophagus so I couldn’t swallow my food barely any food was getting to my stomach I lost a lot of weight. So when I got pregnant at 25 I had the same issue I could barely eat. I believe that was what caused my estrogen to drop. About 6 months after I had my son I still was experiencing painful sex. I went to the doctor and they had given me vaginal estrogen cream but I threw it away because I seen the cancer warning label and got terrified. Here it is 9 years later the whole entire time not being able to have sex caused a huge issue in my marriage. I can’t believe I’m just now finding out that I could have taken that cream and been fine. 9 years of an unfulfilled sex life that could have completely been avoided had I known this information you provided in this video. My mind is blown.

Around 10 years ago or more I was having lots of very strange symptoms that eventually I was told to call the Number of a urologist. After I called the office to make an appointment I was told I would have to wait, however my symptoms were so severe After having been to the ER. I could not pee at all, although I had pressure to go. I was also told I was dissented. Long story short, I was desperate to be seen and one of the doctors got me in the next day and which I was very thankful. He drained off in his words and equivalent to a 2 L bottle of Coke and 1/ fourth of another one. I looked pregnant, I felt pregnant. I had immediate relief and was so thankful for this doctor. He said if I would’ve waited any longer I could’ve had permanent damage to my kidneys. My advice is if you feel you need to be seen, insist for yourself. There were times during this period that I would leak for no reason and other times when I just couldn’t go at all. I never knew from one day to the next what would happen. Thank God for this doctor and his knowledge and caring for people. A catheter was put in and left in for a week. Never anymore problems!😊 while pregnant I had an episode of not being able to pee. Fibroids while pregnant most likely.

I recently got in estradiol and even though my tests showed I was in normal range , it was in the lower range. I was almost at the point of not being able to get sexually aroused, it was painful during vaginal entrance sexually. Now, I feel more excitment even if my partner is not around. Vaginal entrance isnt as painful now. I feel sexually alive. Men doctors, the ones I've experienced, doesn't understand what a woman needs! I missed out on vaginal health since I went through menopause in my 40s. Yes, I experience utilities, bacterial infections and yeast infections but not as much as before. Thanks for the video.

Thank you so much for this! I do have a question, though. In this video you spoke about getting the cream to 'the top of the vagina'. In a previous one, you said the estrogen sensors are near the opening to the vagina, and we shouldn't even use the applicator. I realize you've changed your recommendation about dosing, but it seems the area of the vagina to target has also changed. Is this correct?

Thank you so much for this explanation and I had no idea UTI's were related. I have been on HRT for a few years and just got the cream too with insurance 3 month supply $20. Sex is a little painful and I cannot wait for this to kick in. I appreciate you.

After 1 year of continuous uti's and various antibiotics, I finally decided to see a gynecologist. And that's what truly helped me.What this Doctor is talking about was truly almost a miracle for me.I now use it and all my symptoms are gone. I have come to the conclusion that we are responsible for our own health. If one Doctor is not helping you move on to another Doctor in a different field. Otherwise you will stay stuck with the same repetitive routine that is killing you with that horrible pain, like glass cutting you when you empty your bladder. Please don't live that way. Move on looking for answers.

I was advised to use this a year ago for my incontinence problems. I had used it a few years before that for pain reduction during sex as well. It worked extremely well. I wasn't told to continue to use it after my sex life waned . I loved watching your proper application technique. I didn't know exactly what good way there was to use it.

Thank you for the info. 😊 I heard that if we have the uterus we need to take both together, estrogen and progesterone. If we only use estrogen, what would be the risk here? On later videos can you explain or talk about HRT? Thank you again!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your advice means so much. Just wondering if I am using Vagifem tablets can I also use a tiny bit of the cream on the outer area like you mentioned? I am presuming the amount of estrogen in the pill and the cream are same????

I'm a nurse and know how to use the applicator accurately. I was prescribed the starting dose of 1gram daily for 2wks then 2x weekly. I was forced to use less for the last 4 wks because i would've run out before i was eligible for a refill. Not sure where the issue lies. Is the applicator marked wrong or what? I also find that the cream doesn't always dissolve well for me and some falls out 14 hrs later. Couldn't believe it hadn't absorbed after that timespan. There's definitely a learning curve with this but i have noticed some improvement so anxiously waiting for refill time. Just curious if others have same issue with the first tube running out prematurely.

I’m confused; given concerns for estrogen alone, why does the cream NOT contain progesterone as well? [edit; I asked question before watching full video] Okay, if there’s no risk, why are all the warnings included on the tube? Is adding progesterone just that much more expensive? Might there be a benefit to receiving both? Yes to it’s cheaper paying cash than w/insirance. With insurance, about $68. Cash, 40…🙄. Not very useful. I didn’t know to ask, and my pharmacist offered the cash option information. I am appreciative.
