Keylong is a good option to stay and you can also stay in Jispa or Gemur which has more natural beauty than Keylong. Lahaul valley like Keylong and Jispa are a bit colder than Manali.

Manali is offering you 4/5 feet snow at Rohtang Pass and also the temperature here is much better than from any plain areas. If you want to experience live snowfall and minus temperature than you should kindly plan your next trip between January to March.
