The meaning is actually very close to the English version overall. It's just that the "events" are told differently and the "singer" is different. In the English version, the "singer" is a performer in a bar, but in the Japanese version she's a student. At least that's what I got out of it.

the English isn't just pretty good, it portrayed the perfect mood for the game, this one it feels more lighthearted. I don't know if it is the background music or the voice of the singer.. Mind you it is good too, it's just feels like it is missing something..
