Mounaragam is the remake of the Telugu serial Mounaragam, which R.K.Malineni directs the serial. Pradeep Panicker is the director of the Malayalam version. Aishwarya and Naleef are the leading actors of the serial. Naleef, as Kiran, delivers his role as an angel to recover Kalyani’s wife. Aishwarya, as Kalyani, plays the role of dump character throughout the serial. Balaji Sharma, Sethu Lakshmi, Darshana Das, and Padmini are the part of the serial. It runs its hundred and fifty-two episodes since September 18, 2020, which started airing on December 16, 2019. The serial revolves around Kalyani, a dumb girl. Her father, who wanted a boy child, abandons her. He gives some poison to her mother to kill her pregnancy, which results in the girl is born dump. Her mother could not bear the pressure of her husband, and in-laws try for infanticide, but it fails. Her mother is the only support for her. But later, to bring her out of the grievances, Kiran enters her life. Prakasan and Deepa are his parents. Deepa suffers a lot when she gives life to Kalyani. Soon after the years, Deepa gives birth to a boy child and celebrates it as a big festival, disappointing Kalyani. Deepa develops an orphan girl child along with Kalyani. Everyone apart from her mother hurts her and refuses her. Often Prakasan goes for a job which makes extra time for Deepa for her daughter. Roopa is the owner of Prakasan.
Continuously hurt, Kalyani grows up soon to a developed girl. Kiran, Roopa’s son, returns to India after a long while. He searches for Kalyani now to express his longing and gratitude towards her. Kiran meets Kalyani and introduces himself. Rajappan tortures her to acquire her.Later she warns him with the help of her friend. When Santhosh and Kadambari’s fiancé arrives home, her grandmother introduces her as a maid to everyone. She is faced with different issues when family plans for Kadambari’s marriage. Later, when Santhosh came to know about Kalyani’s identity, he stops the marriage. Kadambari blames and lashes out at Kalyani for the happenings. Vikramaditya cleverly steals money from the house, and Prakasan is taken to the hospital. Kalyani decides to donate her kidney to Saraswathi and seeks help from Rajappan for Kadambari’s marriage. .This situation turns positive to Rajappan when she asks for money from him. He makes her accept all his conditions to give money. But the family praises Vikram for giving money to Kadambari’s marriage. While the family prepares for their marriage, Prakasan asks Deepa to keep Kalyani away. Kadambari sends Kalyani out of the marriage, and Rajappan misleads her. He forces her to marry him for the lent money during Kadambari’s marriage occurs here. Kiran saves Kalyani and pays off the debts.
