The "center" official called it a good basket...It was his primary responsibility because the shot came from his side of the court...The refs should have ran off the court IMMEDIATELY and not subjected themselves to being jostled by the fans....The shot attempt was a good one as the ball was definitely out of the player's hand with approximately .5 second left. The overturning of the call was absolutely outrageous....Those kids got cheated...

Was it a questionable call "YES", but how can you blame lost solely on the refs call, especially when a team have a double digit lead at half and scores 0 (zero) points in the 4th quarter. Missed layups and turning the ball over on while inbounding under opponents basket with a 1 point lead with 12 + seconds didn't contribute as well.. Look at the game as a whole and not just the last 5.8 seconds that's shown.. But as usual PEOPLE change the narrative when things don't go in their favor. We often forget that referees are human and are not perfect, they have to make instant judgement calls, and this was one of those instances.. Over 30 years of coaching and not once have I blamed any ref call(s) for a lost..

I can easily blame the call on the ref because it’s clear for us all to see….the fact that the game was so close is a testament to both teams determination to win but when one team clearly won, the other team should step down because I don’t know that’s the right thing to do. What is wrong with this country

They are human and unfortunately they have final say in the games, and once they leave the playing area, whatever decision that was made have to stand; that's in their bylaws.. Not having the ability to review that play to eliminate any doubt (thanks to Cedar Creek vs Woodrow Wilson in SJ Group 3 title game in football) is the main issue here. But now that this has caused such an uproar, I guess we'll get replay back. If that do happens, it'll be funny cause a Camden team (34-35 lost) was involved when they decided to eliminate it, and a Camden team (46-45 win) will be involved in the decision to have it reinstated. Amazing how things come full circle.

Don't spend too much time on it though, because it's not there. I know the officials are human, and I know they make mistakes. That does not absolve them from being blamed for their mistakes. Whether this mistake can be rectified or not, it is still their mistake, 100%.

I watched the game...and Manasquan won...what are you teaching kids...if I was Camden coach, trust me we would have conceded the game and let Manasquan play thier championship game...this wrong turn in the road will really make a difference in people's lives, especially if you knew you lost and went ahead and play a championship that wasnt...😢

I thought they got robbed, but I played it in .25 speed and they didn't start the play clock till after the player caught the inbound pass and dribbled up to half court. That gave them at least another 1-1.5 seconds. Camden won fair and square.

@fratrickmachomes5263 It's not an excuse. The game clock should have ended as soon as that guy bricked the shot. Really I am not even a 100% sure he would have gotten off the shot before the game should have ended. The reason officials aren't getting involved is because they can clearly review the footage and see what I explained. They don't want to have a press conference stating how the game clock guy messed it up from the beginning and the refs made a bad call based on the clock they thought was accurate. It's just a messy finish, but Camden got justice even if the refs initially messed it up based on their knowledge ATM. It would have been even worse if they counted the shot, when the game should have already been over.

@@anthonyfoti9718 Incorrect buddy. The refs reviewed the play afterwards and say they blew the call. They were clearly influenced by the Camden coaches screaming in their faces.
