I was honestly surprised at the price of this. Nowhere near what I was thinking for what all it is. I was expecting north of $100, easy. I don't understand the appeal of being able to swap placements of a physical button. Say, A to X. The only time I've ever looked to see what labeled button I'm pushing is during the initial learning of a game. Since I'm old, I'll use Donkey Kong, Goldeneye, and Perfect Dark as examples. A does this, B does that, etc. Changing the B to an X isn't going to make me forget what that button does. Or is there something I'm missing? Be nice, lol. You talking about controlling speed based on how tightly you press the trigger made me laugh and think, "When I was a kid and you wanted to go faster in a game, you pressed the red button in the upper left corner of the joystick base. Two speeds -- Go and No." Ahhh... the good old days. Games had no missions to complete and there were no endings. Shit just got faster and harder until you used all 3 lives and died.

Muscle memory is only a part of the equation. If a game offers non conforming instructions to hit YBXA and its on a switch layout - those buttons don't correspond to the user who may not have the switch layout knowledge. In most cases you can choose your layout style, but not in every case. If you come from gaming primarily on the switch, the option to keep using the switch layout over the Xbox layout may be what your mind and muscle memory know best, but if you got a controller with the intention of PC gaming based on Xbox layout, you may want to swap physical buttons and not play with the switch layout.

According to a direct talk with them about it not being Mamba (as is mistakenly written on the booklet) they wanted it pronounced as MAN-BAH, and even sent me an audio recording of it when I emailed and asked how they say their brand. :D I should ask about the name sake though. It is curious.
