The older ones are being replaced with Airbus a321 but i think they are keeping a few, well i hope so got to love the sound of those 757 engines

Normally no big change between 2 methods. But, stop and power up seems a bit reliable. Because, pilots have last chance to check again visually instruments. I guess there are some reasons why sometimes rolling power up is preferred. Due to: runway busy because of another plane is approaching for landing, fuel saving instead of stop-run.

Nice video ! But why this runway closes at 10:30 ? I go spotting there 02/02/2013 and i want to find some nice spot locations ;) i have already spotted at the runway visitor park, but i want go to another location too :) (after he closes : 16:30)

Which do you prefer? Rolling take-off, or stop then power up? I prefer having them stop. You get a better look at them, all that power waiting for its turn to be released.

Hi colin. i think i can help. if you go on the road that leads under the 2 runways from Hale barns towards Wilmslow. on the round about where the holiday inn is, take first exit on the left and go through the snicket. Follow the snicket for about 100 -200 metres. I hope that helped. Please watch my Manchester airport videos. Thanks
