MANCHESTER AIRPORT TERMINAL 1 DROP OFF EASIEST DIRECTIONS YOU’LL FIND

Take the ramp up to the forecourt, which is conveniently located next to the main check-in hall. There is a dedicated drop-off point on the forecourt located in Zone 2. Follow the signposts for Terminals 1 and 3.
Drop-off areas are located directly outside the terminal building at departures level. So, you can pull up right outside, where you can touch down just long enough to unload luggage.
you can choose to be dropped off directly outside the terminals and train station. The charge for this is £5 for five minutes and £6 for 10 minutes and is payable at the exit barrier.

This morning I made the exact same journey from Stockport but for the second time I had to chicken out of using the T1 drop off and instead use the short stay car park. It might be me but there is just no information on Manchester Airport website nor at the airport. I took my partner up to departures but then got lost trying to get back down to the short stay car park! Plus, I was also told the drop off was just for taxis now. All thanks to you though I now know what to expect and what to do. Many thanks! I'm also fairly new resident of Stockport so I've hit the subscribe button on your channel. Top bloke! :)

Something to watch out for when parked up. The ceiling lintels are very low, check your tailgate won't hit them when raised.

Very good video. As a matter of interest, is the entry to the Multi Storey Car Park open at the top of the ramp. I’ve seen conflicting reports on whether it’s open or closed. Thank you.

Dropping my son off tomorrow 1st March and been panicking about where to go. Do you need a ticket entry to use in the machine on exit? Do the machines accept contactless

My husband dropped off our son and when he got to the exit he put his debit card in a slot but the payment machine retained his card and so he couldn't leave the carpark as he had no other means to pay. It was 3 .30am in the morning and no one about to ask what to do so the only option he had was to go back the way he came in. I've tried to ring the Manchester Airport for advice but all I get is a recorded message and no humans to talk to. Any advice??

No you can’t leave you car unattended at any point while dropping off.

@@bfat8747the easiest way I know of is to get the free bus that drops at the terminal. You leave your car there and you can go to the terminal with them and get the bus back to the free drop off. The multi storey car park says pre booking. I dropped someone off at terminal 2 went inside for a hour didn’t need to pre book. Terminal 1 parking for longer is this the right car park

Pre booking is only for long stay, drop off is totally different.

I’m going to drop someone off. But I want to go inside with them as they are elderly. So I was thinking of parking up. I did the same thing at terminal 2. I parked put in t2 west for a hour instead of going into the drop off. I just checked on Manchester airport web page says use T1 short stay car park

@@shazadkhaliq5686 you have two options, first one you cans go to the free drop off and a bus takes you to terminal 1 you can go on the bus with them and leave your car and get the bus back. Or go to terminal 1 arrivals and that’s right outside the terminal, think you get 1/2 hour but it’s costly.
