As a city fan of over 40 years I have to say - what a footballing journey I have been on! I was 39 years old before I saw them win anything and that was followed by the Aguero moment and the dominance that followed. I have witnessed relegations, promotions, embarrassing cup knockouts and heartbreaking defeats after filtrations with success. But the real story here is the relegation to the third tier in 1998 up to the treble and champion league winners 25 years later. It is an unique journey from an unique club and I wouldn’t swap for the experience I would have had supporting any other club in world football during my period of existence on this earth.

I'm a city fan of now 50yrs (50??? WHERE DID THEY GO, GIVEN THAT MY 14 SCHOOL YEARS SEEMED TO TAKE LONGER!?!) but I was raised by Dad to be a Utd fan. It didn't work out for him. My first season ticket cost me six quid but that seemed a bit of a rip-off so a year later I went and stood up in The Kippax for a fiver.
