Things haven't changed a lot in the over three years since this video was made. Salford City Council and Manchester City Council are only paying lip service to cycle lanes apart from a few obvious exceptions. In many cases the painted cycle lanes are not even getting repainted after resurfacing so it's obvious cycling isn't high on either citys agenda. I have been cycling seriously for over sixty years and things are about as bad as I've ever seen them despite the increasing number of cyclists on the road. Shame on both cities as others do things far better.

Its a pity that you get organisations like MMU building private routes instead of rights of way
