How can something so calming be made from something so painful? It's like screaming under water.

Born in 2006. She was the prettiest thing I had ever seen. I call her "The Alien" because she isn't like us. She is better then me in every little way. This world needs all children to be 1% better then us. The less we push our children, the more they will pull us. They always know the right way. I am sober today because of her eyes. I am alive today to see through my eyes, her become something better. An Alien...

It's ridiculous how talented these guys are.
@slothworks70323 жыл бұрын
It's not talent. It's determination and practice.
@lfcfan17893 жыл бұрын
@@slothworks7032 well...in a sense yes. But I'm talking about talent in relation to natural aptitude. You can practice something and be determined to get good or even great at anything that doesn't mean you will be. For example if I'm a person who is tone deaf and simply not able to sing in tune, with practice and determination i may be able to get better. But some people are naturally talented at certain things and can choose to hone it or not. Its something in the brain. Ever see the movie Good Will Hunting?

The acoustic guitar solo at 2:20 is just amazing. The melody and tightness between the two are phenomenal. Makes me wish I'd picked up a guitar instead of the drums.

The lights were low enough you guessed You swapped your conscience with your father's medication Limped from Rome to Lawrenceville And on the way wrote out a self made declaration And when you got to Pleasant Hill You forced the traffic to erase your family demons And made a pact with you and god If you don't move I swear to you I'm gonna make ya Do you need me? Do you need me? Do you need me? Do you need me? When the first officer arrived It happened to be the high school bully of your brother When you finally recognised You felt some guilt that you had even let him touch you "Can you hear me, what's your name?" You could not speak just laid amazed at all the damage As the high school's letting out All the kids are saying the same thing that they used to It's an alien It's an alien It's an alien It's an alien The lights are low enough you guessed Hospital food, there's never enough medication The doctor asked about your ears You said your mom said you were made from a revelation The revelation never scares Your fear came from your drunken dad and a pair of scissors "Were you just finally letting go?" "Did you mean to take out all those people with you?" Didn't mean to Didn't mean to Didn't mean to Didn't mean to Oh I didn't mean to Oh I didn't mean to Oh I didn't mean to Oh I didn't mean to Time is here to take your last amendments and believe them on your own Time is here to take you by the hand, and leave you there alone Time has come to take the last commandment and to carve it into stone Time has come to take you by the hand, and leave you here alone

I just stumbled upon these guy a few months ago and found myself buying all of their songs. Their songs lyrics plus the vocals plus the atmospheric music has been pulling memories out of me , mostly painful, but good I think. I see they resonate with certain people in a big way. It's strange, my normal music taste falls into melodic death metal believe it or not Great band these guys are.
